you're aware that atlp = a TL part and this is the TSX forum right? Only exhaust that ATLP makes that is NOT for a TL is a RDX exhaust to my knowledge.

Greddy Evo II by far is the best sounding for the tsx. its deep and quiet..if you have an cai then when you hit about 4000rpm the intake is actually louder while the exhaust just gets deeper....I have the greddy and I wont go another way!

Greddy Evo2 is probably the loudest. Next would be the Apex WS2 and then the Tanabe...

I prefer the WS2, it has a deep growl to it. Not too loud, not too quiet, just perfect

The Mugen Exhaust with the Cat/Header/Ice Box intake combo is awesome. My car is reflashed and once you hit 4800/5000 RPM's it really sounds clean and smooth. It is not too loud. Yes it is pricey (i'll say it before someone else does), but I am very happy with the combo.

Fujitsubo Legalis R exhaust =) are quite quiet unless you add to the list of bolt ons in front.

Were not going get the same sound as the g35 but a deep low tone in alot of the exhaust.

The G is a very hard sound to match. Best of luck to anyone that tries

I was checking out youtube, I think WS2 or comptech sounds the best. I'm leaning towards comptech though.

You're never going to get a G35 sound from a TSX. You can't make an I4 sound like a V6. That's just science.

As for quiet - my Tanabe MT is pretty unobtrusive but with I/H/C, you definitely know it's not stock. If you don't want to hear your exhaust, keep it stock as the posters above recommended. Replacing the catback doesn't do much for performance - adding an intake, header, and high-flow cat will get you the gains without much of the noise.

I really want a 5Zigen Pro Racer single exhaust. I've wanted that exhaust for years. It's getting hard to keep myself from ordering one...

I was thinking about the same thing too, always like that g35 sound. Do you guys think the g35 exhaust fit the TSX with a little mod, and will the sound will be the same as the G? Most of Infiniti exhaust sounds the same. From G series to Fx

see post #23 for your answer.

a retrofitted G exhaust onto a TSX doesn't magically turn it into a V6.

^ that plus you wouldn't be able to retrofit a G exhaust on a TSX. It wouldn't be worth the money anyway.

The closest-to-G sounding Honda I have heard in my life was a 2G TL-S with both resonators removed and rest of the components stock. Let me just remind u that TL-S has a V6 not an I4. lso note that K series makes naturally raspier sound than majority of the engines like older H and B series. Thats why u want to be careful to keep that rasp down.

I never understood the hype about the G35 coupe exhaust note anyway. It sounds terribly bland and pedestrian to me. Like, "I want people to know I drive a sportscar, but I don't want it to attract negative attention at the countryclub and risk my membership". Half-assed...

Now the VW R32? There's an exhaust note you can be proud of.

You could give the APEXi WS2 a try. I recently installed this on my car and it sounds beautiful . It is not as quiet as stock, mind you, but it is not as loud as the Greddy SP2. I'll try to post some clips, or if you want we can meet up. I've seen your car before so I am sure we live close by, lol.

The reason why i dont have it now.. i was waiting to go with the Hytech setup.. And just wanted some power for the time being. I could've went with any other exhaust but i wanted power not just sound.

I've gotta agree with everyone about the G35. It sounds way too contrived.

I've always like the fujitsubo exhaust. Apex WS2 always seems to sound good too.

I guess what I would be wary of is if they use any packing material that may degrade over time and change the sound.

it's hard to get the G35 note on our cars, but i would suggest going w/ either Tanabe or the Comptech. They look close to OEM with really good finish, plus the sound is middle ground b/w the Greddy and Fujitsubo.
I currently have the Tanabe MTs on mine and i love the low mid-tone when cruising, but on WOT, it sounds really nice.. but you really have to hear for yourself.

i like my comptech exhaust...
it does get a bit louder though when you add headers and rt cat...
sometimes i do sport the quiet tips and they do help out a lot.. but for the past few months i've been running without them because i like the way that it sounds... niiiiice and deep.

Quick Reply: which exhaust???
