Euro R Dyno

Hi.
As its not a TSX...didnt want to intrude on the TSX dyno sticky...
Thought some of u would be interested in the figures of a modded EuroR K20A..

Got my car tuned recently for the track and I am stoked!
Here are the wheel/fly charts....unfortunately the guy wuz in a hurry at the end and stuffed up some of the print setup...

Wheel hp

Fly hp

Engine Mods (street):
Gruppe M intake & Carbon Fibre shield
Toda Full Face Clutch & Chro-moly Flywheel
HKS Silent Hi-Power Cat Back Exhaust
Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket
DIY Throttle Coolant Bypass
NGK Iridium IX spark plugs
Buddy Club Condenser & Grounding kit
Spoon Engine Torque Damper
Mugen Rev-R Engine Oil

Engine Mods (Track)
Toda A3 Camshaft & Valve Springs
Toda 4-2-1 Header & Test Pipe
Toda Cam Chain Tensioner
Hondata K100 ECU
Enlarged (70mm/64mm butterfly) Throttle Body

All of the above resulted in >40hp gain..
Was already impressed with the stock claimed 110hp/litre figures for a NA engine but now, am even more in awe of Vtec

Wow! So for us, that would be cams, race header, enlarged TB, and tuning, no? (aka.. KPRO)

Sick results. This is from a K20, right?

Its a small device that replaces the stock and provides a more stable cam chain tensioning...especially at >9000rpm...

Do share! heh heh...r u talking about ITBs? or a hybrid K24 bottom/K20 top end?
The mods available are endless....A stroker kit & ITB's can probably hit 300hp...

Wanted a compromise that is street drivable, can still be used as a family car but still provided enuf oomph..

Who said Daily driven Family cars can't have Toda ITB's ??? hahaha...I like the hybrid idea, and was planning to do it too, but not sure if I want to go that crazy on this car...but it definitely opens up alot of power...and opportunities.

How is the HKS Silent exhaust though? I heard it doesn't provide that much gain. YOu should get a full titanium like J's Racing, or Amuse or even FEELS, but preferably single since we only have 4 cylinders, just like your HKS. It will be lighter definitely, depending on brands, you might get more gains man. Looks at some of the dynos!!

There is no direct plugging Hondata for the R...local distributor here has managed to use DC5R with k100/KPro and custom harness...sort of like a hi tech piggy back. Need to run 2 ECU's...DC5+Hondata for engine management & stock R for the rest. Bit of a hassle but still the best combination we have found.

Thanks...but I am also envious of some of ur TSXes! Wish we could run 19's and have them slammed here too but roads and damned humps/carpark ramps put a stop to that

LAws are strict here (also why i have to use the cams only on tracks)and they have only just started approving certain aftermarket exhausts. FOr the R..only double exhausted HKS, Fujitsubo & Mugen are approved and out of the 3...the HKS provided the best top end power...Someone has dynoed >=10hp gains on a stock R...

^ damn....only 3 are approved?? I didn't know there's so many laws there, seeing how crazy your cars are modded!!!

I am not sure if it's true, but AJR told me their J's Racing exhaust has over 18hp gain...a little more than 10whp gain...
