Edelbrock B18C turbo?

OK. I feel this warrants a new thread. A few days ago someone rambled in the Dyno thread a rumor about an Edelbrock manifold:

edelbrock is making manifold for 24 k with wicked throttle body get reflash they say v-tec will pop in the 3,000 to 4,000 range cant wait
Of course this ramble doesn't make any sense, but I thought what the hell, I'll email Edelbrock and ask them what they're up to with K series engines.

"
I'm writing as a member of a car enthusiast forum for Acuras, (www.acurazine.com). I'm not a frequent visitor to your website, and just noticed the 'new' Honda/Acura section for the first time. There have been rumors (unsubstantiated) on our website of upcoming Edelbrock performance parts for the Acura TSX, (Honda K24a engine). I was wondering if you could shed any light on upcoming parts or dispell these rumors for me.
"

Here's my response:

"
Unfortunately we do not have any plans for any K series parts at this time, although we are in the development of our B18C turbo kits. I will fill out a new product recommendation form for you and turn it in with a copy of this email attached.

Who wants to speculate? I have no idea what a B18C turbo kit is, but why would he mention it unless it had something to do with what I was asking about?

Reach, the B18C was the motor installed in the Integra GSR. Sounds like they aren't going to be doing anything for the K-series for a while...

Too add to that, the B18C is a cable throttle while the K24 in the TSX is drive by wire.

Well, there's more Honda history I didn't know.

Agreed. Sounds like a dead end.

They're kinda late for a B-series heavy modification kit. Their sales are doomed to dwindle with B-series, while they could grow with K-series.

That is not accounting that K-series are a lot sturdier than B-series, especially for FI applications.

Sounds like a bad business choice if you ask me.

Yes, this is classic North American reaction time in the automotive industry. They are just so slow at developing performance parts for current ('02 RSX, etc), I would say they are lagging a decade behind the times.

I thought this thread was about someone swapping a B-series into their TSX.

That wouldn't be easily doable. B-series rotate the opposite way that K-series do. Plus it would be an absolute waste of time and resources.
