Dont take off the front bumper....Go to K&N's website and use there instructions. Much easier to jack it up and take off the wheel. The resonator has one bolt that is a pain in the ass to take off...took me like 15mins for that one stinking bolt. but after the resonator is out is a cakewalk.

wow, these results are great! looks like it is time to move it up the list into "buy" position!

do most of the people here agree that the injen is the way to go, over comptech and k&n?

No one has asked this question yet. But what were the ambient temperatures of the two dynos? Are the baseline and the run with the Injen on the same day or two different days? IIRC, your baseline was in the later part of the summer, which was warmer than now, I assume.

The numbers are sae corrected; and while you are right that isn't a completely exact science you can tell by looking at the shape of the curve how there were solid midrange gains.

I'd still like to see what AEM CAI could do. If they ever make one that is.

this is kinda out of topic... anyone know if the DC header for the K24 Accord fits our car??

Stockless, u sure? btw, does the place you go to have a 4wheel dyno? my friend is thinking about getting his wrx on dyno. in that case, my trip down there wont be that boring.

No, it doesn't. The O2 sensors are not at the same location.

awesome post jab!!
This definately makes me happy to have gotten the INJEN. Its funny i had a dude at work this morning ask me about my car and power numbers and stuff and i told him it was 200hp stock but i had a cai and it was about 210 with the CAI.
Now I know every car is different but after this Dyno and the one posted on the other site by the dude with the group buy im way more confident in saying 210hp.
Good Job man!

So today it was pouring rain on the way to work. 285 was like a damn river. Once I got to work I popped the foglight cover just to check and see what the filter looked like. It was a bit damp...the inside of the area the filter sits had some splashes in it. It might be a good idea to get a drycharger for the filter. I need to go measure the filter to get the specs for the right drycharger.

I wouldn't worry about a bit damp at all. As you know a filter has to be completely submerged to suck up water....air is easier to pull in so it will follow the path of least resistance. Also remember that little water in the engine isn't a big deal. A lot of autoshops steam clean cylinders by trickling water in the throttle body while it revs.

I ordered a spare fog cover from the dealer for a few bucks for use on wet days. On dry days I pop in the vented one. It just takes a sec to pop in and no risk of wet filter in the rain. This is a good practice as wet filters loose the oil fast and can let junk through the filter. Some dealers have them laying around from fog installs so you can snag one for free if you know someone.

Any idea if the 5star rims are lighter than the stock 7 spoke rims?

If you are talking about the OEM 5-star rims, I believe there is little to no difference in weight over the stock wheels.

Beautiful dyno. Really nice torque curve between 3500 and 5000. Make sure you post a copy of it in the Compiled Dyno Thread. (sticky)
