That's nuts, making the stock horsepower of an E46 m3 :gheywave: Did they happen to mention anything regarding the reliability of the daily driving regarding a setup like this?

I noticed you using the 06 TSX intake cam.
Why not use K20A EURO-R intake cam?
My TSX has stock internals, stock gearbox & clutch.

The 06 TSX intake cam has bigger primary lobes than the Euro R and the same secondary lobe.

Yes it is my daily driver and I have been driving it like this for a week since it was tuned.

Doug,

This is off-topic, but according to this post: https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...2&postcount=25 this is the base calibration to run for 04-05 Stock TSX which is "tsx-04-05 stock.kal" instead of "k24-tsx-stock.kal"correct? It should run without knockings right? <= this is what I am worry about.

and 1 more question,

is this a special case for him? if he sets the angle > 25 degrees but my VTC cant act like his, would it affect anything, any down side?

Thanks!

Kevin

Hey Kevin, Here's a good thread I saw about the tsx-04-05 Stock.kal on the Hondata forum:
http://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9058

You definitely want to use that Kal, feedback seems very positive.

Wow that sounds good comments about K-PRO for TSX. I do have Reflash and consider to get a K-PRO someday then supercharger in future.

Technically, its making more power than an E46 m3.

Assuming 15% drivetrain loss: 330 whp~ 388 hp at the crank.

Yeah, I was about to say after I posted it but I figured someone would correct me..

SO roughly after 6 grand (figuring you install everything and after tuning) you can have a car with 300+ horsepower to the front wheels hmm...

To be fair, it's closer to about $11k for just the parts:

CT S/C = $4k
HyTech (H/C/E) = $3k
K-Pro = $2k
Other stuff (intake, injectors, machined VTC, high boost pulley, etc) = $1k+
Tune = $500-1,000

Yeah you're right I was just assuming that everyone would have the basic bolt ons

Also for the price and year round driveability you can't beat it!
