That wouldn't last ten minutes under the hood. The temperature would evaporate away the dry ice pretty quickly.

And if you're going to do that, why not just go liquid nitrogen? It would be even cooler.

Also, because of the straight-thru and very short path, there wouldn't be a lot of time for heat exchange.

I wish I woulda had that on my blown 'teg. So long as there is lexan or something sealing that chamber, I don't think it would evaporate too quickly.

That would be good for some runs at the strip or something, but definately not a night of cruising.

As far as condensation inside the piping, I don't think that would be a problem. Or atleast, there shouldn't be a significant amount to cause a problem. It would probably evaporate once it hit the intake manifold. A little water vapor wouldn't do any harm, water injection has been a method of intercooling for a long time now...

And let's not forget if the seal on the dry ice tube were to leak CO2, it will certainly assist in messing with the fuel mixture if it doesn't stall the car first.

Wow you're probably the most remote member of this site. How did you manage to get your car there?

Edit: better question: why do you need a car there?

Maldives is about 350mi south west of India in the Indian Ocean. Ask the captain if he'll swing by the next time you're at sea
