i see lights all the time. they get my attention. drl's, regular lights, motorcycles.
my brother keeps his HIDs on all the time so he can be seen. several of my friends keep the driving lights on all the time. i do a lot of highway driving (56k in 25months) and wanted to have lights on but didn't want to leave my HIDs on all the time. one reason is so i wouldnt have to switch the dim on the nav screen all the time. another is for safety. but most, most importantly i like the way it looks.
my old impala would turn on the DRLs under highways when stopped or in tunnels, but it wasn't a problem.

Thanks for the updates.
So just for claification...
So does this mean that your DRL's are on at all times that the car is on?
I want the DRL's with HID's on.
But would i have an option to have the DRL's off and just HID's too?

i have DRLs on all the time, but you can easily create a relay switch to interrupt and put it on your dash. I was thinking about doing that also...but a switch on the ignition sensor wire and a little switch on the open switch panel on the dash.

Thanks for posting this DIY ... I just bought a new 2007 TSX and for it to comply with Canadian laws (ie I'm importing this from the US to Canada) ... I have to retrofit DRLs. I see you live in Texas ... I wonder how well this setup will 'hold up' to harsh Canadian winters? Would it be possible to install the Hamsar unit inside the car and run the wires through the firewall?
However ... if the car passes inspection ... there's really nothing to stop me from uninstalling the kit ... (except if the car gets pulled over by the cops in Canada ... ) But do the cops look at the car from the front when you get pulled over???
Decisions decisions ...

you can always unplug the harness under the hood if you dont want them on. the kit is made in canada, so it should hold up well to the cold. it lasted through the Texas summer, so extreme temps are good.
I lost my camera charger, so I have to buy a new one so that i can post up new pics of the setup....
