drilling holes in the pedals

Hello,

I just received the Strut King pedal set (manual). I got to placing the pedals on the dead and gas pedal. However, I'm having difficulties in drilling holes on the top of the clutch and brake pedal because I have no room and can't get the angle. I removed the little board below the wheel. It gave me a little room but it's still tough. I tried pushing the pedals back to give me room, and though it's helped it still is tough for me to drill the top holes. How did you guys do it?

Thanks for your input.

Center punch then drill with close quarters drill or dremel
