Barely a difference in mine. Perhaps a gain of 1-2mpg.

Might lower it :p It will sound a lot better at higher RPMs so you will be tempted to drive it harder just to hear the intake

On my accord, I lost low-end torque and quite a bit of MPG. I just tell myself it's what I had to sacrifice in order to gain higher end benefits. I actually have to floor it when going on some freeway offramps in order to get up to speed in time.

Almost every though claims a gain though. I always thought that the ECU was programmed to mix X amount of air with Y amount of gas to get a perfect stoichiometric formula so that the engine doesn't run lean or rich. So with more air, the ECU should pump in more gas so the engine doesn't run lean. But with everyone's claim, I guess that's not what's happening. Maybe the ECU is making everyone run lean, thus saving gas?

In colder weather i think you'll lose more gas, because you car pumps out more fuel, or something like that.

Of course it increases MPG. Remember any part that allows the engine to flow freely with less use of inertia to create combustion will perform more efficiently. Thus high flow filters / exhaust make more noise but actually if you drive under normal conditions will increase MPG.

SRI waste of $$$...

I had one first tank you go thru after the install you get like 10mpgs/gallon and your face will be like O.o <--wtf. Gets better after next fill-up at the gas station.

My gas millage got better after I got my intake (CAI) and got a little better when I added header & exhaust. I went from 24 MPG stock to 30-31 MPG now. But like some of the others said you will end up mashing the gas a little more with performance parts because it sound nice and the car is more peppy. For the most part I drive my car normal so that's why my gas millage is good but there is times I drive it hard and the gas millage is not so good.

Mine got a little better after my SRI. I didn't get 10mpg like Newplay1 said, but yeah, the first fill up is a bit depressing because the ECU is reprogramming. But after a little bit it's pretty good. For example I get about 26-27 mpg during the summer 50city/50highway. I, however, went the custom intake route, no aluminum tubing, so that might make a difference. I dont know

Hmm, I have a takeda CAI installed on my 2009 TSX. My gas mileage dropped soo much. I use to be able to drive 100 - 120 miles before my needle dropped 2 lines. Now, whenever I drive, at 70 - 80 miles, the needle starts to drop. I averaged 27 - 30 mpg without the CAI and with it on, I tried to drive very conservative, at 60 mph and still, it was eating away at my gas really fast. Maybe because I drove it really hard after the ECU reseted or something? I don't know, but I want that good MPG before I head down to LA this week. I just don't want to be filling up all the time. Any suggestions?

+1 now the weather is changing, my car sucks in more gas with the CAI installed but it averaged better numbers on MPG during the summer
