WHat is the difference between a roller dyno and a hydraulic dyno?

Roller dynos like the dynojet work like a big treadmill for your car and use your wheels to spin big rollers. Hydraulic dynos like the dynapack actually bolt directly to your hub, eliminating the possibility of wheelspin on the rollers.

Both accomplish the same thing by different methods.

No, it's not accurate to compare dyno results from different dynos, and under different conditions. Such numbers are good for reference only and can't be used to judge hp or tq output between the different setups. A better comparison would be from the same dyno regardless of type and under the same condition.
