Well i finally found a distributor by where i live that sells decklid spoilers for a tsx. its almost like a spoon spoiler but a little different. tell me what you guys think. i paid about $100.

It looks like a mixture of Spoon spoiler and the xenonspecialist spoiler.

lol guys the spoiler isnt even painted, im taking it to go get it painted at one of my body shops, and my car isnt black, its CGP it was just raining yesterday so everything was dark. im dropping it off today or tomorrow should hopefully get it all done and installed by this weekend but i will take more pics of it b4 its painted and afterwards.

 

cool. definately some side/back angle pics. b/c if this is a happy medium between the xenon and spoon, i'd consider purchasing.

also, is this using the double sided tape for installation? and how's the length on the trunk lid?

 

it uses double sided tape but i did notice it has 2 holes on the side and so im guessing it could be screwed in if done correctly, also it is almost perfect i would say probaly around a millimeter off on each side, but i will take pics again once its painted so you can see fitment issues.

 

OK decklid installed and painted, i like it looks pretty cool sorry nighttime pics own me. i'll take more tomorrow during the day.

I like the lip spoilers. A nice compromise between nothing and the full-on wing.

i think this one looks way better than the one from xenonspecialist. the size of the spoiler is in between xenon and the spoon one. xenon's is a lil too thin and small for my taste. from the looks of it this one looks way better but some more shots would help.

yea im bout to go get it washed in a few hours so i'll take pics then, its still dark outside right now. also it is made out of fiberglass. basically it was gray primer when i recieved it and i took it to my body shop and they painted it factory color with the paint code for $50.

 

That looks really nice. Give us the information from where you got it, perhaps we can order it and have it shipped. This looks better than the xenon spoiler and better alternatie to the spoon spoiler. Thanks!

Its a distibutor that delivers alot of lip spoilers and lip kits to us at the shop. i did have a chance to talk to him about telling him to sell them on here but i dunno if he wants to do it. if he doesnt i'll be glad to talk to a mod about setting up a group buy if you guys are serious. My cost was right around $100 just the spoiler in primer. i got it painted for $50 so i mean total cost was about $150.

The spoiler looks really nice in those pics. Man, I'd be willing to paypal you the money so you can go ahead and buy the spoiler and ship it my way. I'm probably asking for much, but hey...i gotta try.

 

i dont mind as long as the mods are ok with it. i doubt he is gonna gimme another one at cost price but i will ask him tomorrow. i'm hoping he will get on the boards and do a group buy cause i know some of you want this.

here's a question i have--if you're looking at the trunk/lip from the side view, can you see the double-sided tape between the spoiler and trunk?

i was literally a few days from buying the xenonspecialist one, but one of the things that bothered me was that you could kind of see a slight lift and the double-sided tape. some have mentioned cutting off the edges so it's less noticeable. others have mentioned coloring it in so it blends with the paint color.

just curious.

 

It looks like it's made out of fiberglass, which I think it's better than the rubbery/flexible xenon spoiler is made of.

No you cant see the double sided tape because you put the double side on by yourself. it comes with a small roll to do the whole spoiler and you put the tape where you want. mine isnt showing at all.

i can see the advantage of the xenon being rubbery if you want to take the lip off or replace the tape. the fiberglass might be harder to get off without snapping it?

 

$170 shipped is little steep for fiberglass spoiler and its not even painted.

 

1st time i mounted it i was off and i pulled it right off didnt break it so in my opinion it isnt cracking or breaking and i have pushed down quite a few times on it just to make sure it sticks.

Yea sorry S14 i cant help you with the price, i tried asking but he wont budge but i dunno email him up and see if you guys can get enough people to get a discount. Next time i come across a good deal i'll try and let you guys know the same time that way you guys can take advantage of it.

I have this exact lip spoiler that I bought about 2 months ago. It's painted CGP (Carbon Grey Pearl). Never installed it and it already has the double sided tape on it. It's brand new, just want to sell it. Let me know if any of you guys are interested in it. Have pics as well.

 

thats because its spoon!!! we are talking here and edm one is not made out of fiber glass. nothing can go wrong with the factory stuff. I wish the price was lower..
