i think you only need a defouler if you are running a high flow aftermarket catalytic converter

I have DC version 1 and no problem with a check engine light at all. As tsx2nv says... usually only with a high-flow cat.

no you shouldn't need a defouler. I'm running CT header and RT cat and still no CEL *knocks on wood* But no I don't think anyone has gotten a CEL with just a header

I'm installing Topspeed headers and RT cat tomorrow and I just picked up a sparkplug defouler at Autozone to run in the RT cat. Don't plan on using one in the header though (in fact I think putting a defouler on the primary O2 sensor is actually a bad idea in that it will mess up the A/F ratio...)

Per JTSo's thread....

I took my sweet time during the entire install to take pictures and got it done in about 3 hrs. If I had to do it again, it should only take 1.5 hrs.
