You might as well weld it if its not installed yet.
Cant hurt anything. I got mine welded and havent had any problems in 2+ months

Where are you located?

Just out of curiosity, what are you talking about welding? Is it a 2 piece and you want to weld the pieces together?

^^ No, the prior generation of DC headers had an issue where there would be separation in the a-pipe between the flex pipe and rear flange. So many DC owners have that area tack welded to reinforce it before installation.

wow I have a 2nd gen dc. mine broke within 3 months. the flex pipe was totally disentegrated. dc would not warrenty it due to the authorized dealer I purchased it from did not install it. a local muffler shop cut out the old flex pipe an replaced it. the guy said it was a poor design sayin the flex pipe is too short... it broke again after a trip to the track.... stock ones going back on...

my Topspeed SS header(same design as DC) has been sounding funny lately; so I take it off and shine a shop light in it to find the flex pipe is ripping apart. checked w/ local muffler shops that want too much to fix. I ordered a CT Header due to the possibly poor design of the 2 piec ; the flex pipe is short on the TS, DC, OBX. If someone wants to try welding a longer flex pipe on this style header to see if that helps, I'll be selling mine soon as my CT gets here this week.

Hey, I am considering to buy DC Sports header from TSXPARTS for $295.00 but I really want to buy J racing header from AJ Racing but it cost around $900 dollar. I can't able to afford J racing header right now due to Job loss. Do you guys think I should go for DC Sports header? I dont drive TSX that much because I drove my 94 Accord a lot. Sometimes I drive TSX. I just want to get my TSX more air flow and run better. My TSX had Injen intake right now, need to add a performance header. Any suggestion?

Thanks,
George

Try Long Beach Muffler at 3880 East Anaheim. Ask for Dennis, he's pretty cool.

I'm running a Topspeed and have been since November. So far it's fine. If it ends up breaking I'm just going to order a Comptech header and call it a day to stop messing around with this stuff and get a quality piece.

I have an 04 PWP/Parchment.

How did the install go? I'm having a problem with mine again. Sounds and smells like a small hole. I need to raise up the car and take a look at it.

As far as meeting up...are you a 69 year old russian milf? My wife won't like that.

Headers are good, but need a longer flex-pipe like the stock one. longer flex-pipe= less stress per sq. inch.

It cost me $90 for a flexpipe replacement. I supplied the new flex pipe and the header was already installed on my TSX.
