So how old is the news? The kit looks pretty solid to me, but I have not seen any dyno sheets to go along with it. Is there any info on the HSK site about it?

If the TSX has been around for over a year now, why have we not heard more about the turbo kit on the car? Seems pretty well put together. I can't find any info on the HKS site or Dazz site about the car.

That's because it's not a kit, it's a one-off promotional concept. If you read the article closely and take a detailed look in the "specbox" you'll find the word "custom" used plenty of times!!

blah

If the article is that old, you'd think they would have move forward with it already. The only thing custom is the manifold, downpipe and intercooler piping. Aside from the manifold, any exhaust shop should be able to do the rest.
Every other component to the kit is off the shelf.

It is old. I got that issue last year sometime and the article proves just why I hate Import Tuner. Most parts are listed as "custom" and they never bother to explain the tuning behind it nor how Dazz overcame the DBW and ecu issues. They seem more content with showing that ridiculous spoiler and paint job.

They're also using the stock clutch which they said can barely hold the 350hp it's putting to the ground.

They overcame the DBW and ECU hurdles by replacing the ECU and entire harness with the cable TB and Hondata K-pro from a DC5. As a result they lost the standard gauges and traction control.

Note that the availability of a tunable ECU for the CL9 is the same issue which has prevented every other tuner from being able to release an FI kit, so that they can keep the DBW and therefore traction control too as well as avoiding the mammoth task of rewiring the whole damn thing!!

The article is that old and they haven't moved forward with it already precisely because of this problem ... there's no K-pro for the CL9 and nothing short of a Motec with countless hours of tuning time will run the K24 with it's DBW.

best regards
Rod

The air conditioning runs through the ECU too, heh.
