Confused about the Hondata 2004 swap

I'm am looking to swap an 04 ECU into my 05 AT and an a little confused. I searched and read the one thread talking about the immobilizer and key ordeal. Some people were saying one thing and others another.

Can I use my existing immobilizer and key with the 04 ECU? Or do I have to do something to match the two?

You would need to somehow get the car to the dealership with the 05 ECU plugged in and then swap the ECUs. Reason... the 05 AT ECU already knows your immobilizer chip, but th 04 ECU doesn't. So how can you drive the with 04 ECU to the dealership... you can't.

The other option is, get FBLusa to make you a USDM Accord key, have it cut to match your 05 key and then take the immobilizer chip out of your Accord key and put the immobilizer chip from the 04 key into the USDM Accord key. Then you can start the car with the 04 ECU in it, get it to the dealership to have them program your other 05 keys to work.

Make sense now?

Thanks. Makes sense. Seems like too much of a hassle and $$ though right now.
