Comptech Supercharger coming soon... **Update p. 5**
This is what Comptech wrote:
me,
We do have plans to offer a blower kit for the Acura TSX, possibly by
the end of this summer. In the meanwhile, you can check back for new
updates or visit our website which should be going through a change within the
next month or so. Thanks.

def, it's a dealer to dealer per case basis.

That is a lot of money...but I think that for the added torque you'd get, it might be worth it. Add some basic bolt-ons and some proper engine management to achieve around an estimated 75 hp improvement at the crank. It's a lot of money but if you have it, might be worth it. I don't so I'll just wait for Hondata.

With an ECU it's pretty hard to predict horsepower and torque gains. You could look at the RSX gains as a suggestion but there's really no comparing the two. Most of the gains will be seen in 0-60 times because when they lower the VTEC point you'll be able to keep it on the high cam for the 1-2 shift.

250 to the wheels is like 290 at the crank. Considering there has already been a 350hp turbo I don't see why not. Whether or not the clutch can take that power is anyone's guess. LSD is a must for that kind of power too.

TSX 3241lbs
350z is a pig.....way to heavy for what it needs to be.

yeap, 350z is heavy for such a small footprint......g35 is 3445 w/o driver. Pretty much the same as the CLS.

Some quick calculations show that the TSX would need about 220whp to match a TL in the quarter. A supercharger + hondata + I/H/E should be able to put out about 240whp which would yield quarter mile times of about 13.8 @ 98.3mph. That's pretty fast!

I just found this link: http://www.syclone.freeserve.co.uk/rivals_cars.htm
If you take my hypothetical supercharged TSX, it should hang with a 1994 NSX or a 2000 Lotus Exige in the quarter mile.

ah no Not even close mang.....
3 reasons:
1- NSX gearing....much better than TSX.
2- NSX will pull sub 2.0 60'ft times and will kill the TSX off the line
3- NSX power numbers are VERY under-rated

what about 0-60 times.. how much improvement do you think we'll see with these bolt ons n super charger? When it comes out, are you guys gunna get it, or wait to hear from others experiences? Also, will other companies bring out blower kits as well? I hope they do, cause the super charger is kinda pricey, comptech needs some competiton to lower them prices. One more question, I dunno much about super chargers, but how expensive is the maintenance on it?

well with FI you can always launch into the fat part of the power curve and with a eaton S/C no worries about lag etc.,
