Is there a quick way to know if the bar is upside down or not before I install it?
Thanks!

Not sure. I don't have one yet. My guess would be to dry fit it both ways and attach it the way that gives you more clearance from the exhaust. I don't think its exactly flat so it should bow downwards, not upwards.

Yea, if you look at one of the pics in the write up, you can tell that there is a definite point were there bends, and those bends can face either up or down.

You can find them on e-bay or look in the Off Topic / Black Market section. There was a group buy from Excellerate(sp?) that is past its expiration date but they still may offer you the same price. It runs about $115 +/-10%

just compare it to the stock one when u pull it out. it'll be obvious which way the bar bends.

Post Going Back To Install

Hello I'm Ted I just got my rear swaybar installed and just want to say Its Great. For $100.00 this was a great mod; the improvement in cornering, I can carry more speed into turns.

O.K. When Installing the bar it should hang as low as possible between the exsaust. If it is put in upside down it will be close to the sheet metal under the back seat and trunck. When you let the car down the bar should be easy to see when looking under the car. If the bar is upside down it might be tauching or close to the uderside sheet metal of the car(could make a bumbing noice and damage).

Once you have a rearsway bar it may be wize to upgrade the links that connect the bar to wheels. Thats something I want to do.

I have slightly woorped rotors..
Looking for replacements dose anyone have suggestions..... I would like Brembo vented rilled rotors

No sweat with the rear sway. One of the easiest mods around.

UPS = teh Suck.

USPS = teh Win!

I always always always have to pay brokerage on UPS shipments coming from the US but never with USPS. It might take a little longer but if you're not in a hurry then it's well worth the wait.

I heard he tried to take a curve faster than 53mph and the sway flew off the car because he put it on upside down...that's why dom hasn't been posting lately.

He's posting in OT quite a bit. Maybe he sold the TSX.

I had it positioned upside down at one point but its impossible to bolt in

Installed last Saturday. Took me about 1/2 hour to install (Took longer to get the car jacked up securely).

As I mentioned to Tinky through PM, I like this mod more than the Injen for the simple reason thats its more noticeable. The back end feels unbelievably tighter and the car just comes around so much quicker and falatter now. Best Bang for the buck mod out there.

I havn't had a chance to push it yet since I've mostly driven the car to work in stop and go traffic but I'm guesstimating a 60MPH turn in my future

You install yours yet jlukja?

damn you both. i still haven't got mine yet.

i can't wait to see how well it responds - esp when i have the tein flex set at full stiff.

my car is stiff <-

anyway, i'm looking to start autox, once my grad studies slow down a bit.

i'm slowly realized that even tho gunning my car on the street is fun - it's really wreckless and immature. even tho i hardly do it - it's still not a good idea

from now on, i'm keeping strictly to sanctioned events only.

dzuy,

I can't believe you don't have it. I think you should be banned from using the troutslap smiley until you get it installed.

I just installed 19mm nuespeed rear sway =) awesome but now I need to lower the car haha =P

only problem I had was the two 14mm nuts by the exhaust.

Just take the exhaust of the rubber mounts, and then move you way around to the nuts.
I didn't remove the rubber mounts till trying to fit the sway bar on -_-

it was sure fun getting it back in there but great mod =)

My Comptech sway bar is supposed to be here Friday, just in time for the weekend. Can't wait to put it in, it sounds like a great way to spend $115. Now if I can just convince my wife that the sway bar is USELESS without Hondata . . .

This is the bolt I had trouble with, the exhaust can be lowered by unhooking it off the rubber mounts. 3 prongs in the front and 1 prong at the end. It will help getting that bolt and getting on the sway bar later.

hehe neuspeed instead of comptech well only becasue I got the strut bar from neuspeed =)

wd-40 helps here it was a pain to get it off with out some.

This is how I jacked up my car... although there are card board boxes under it for a reason...

The road recently got redone about a year ago, opps I ruined it... The jacks have 4 legs and hrmmz the tsx is a heavy car... What do you think happened when I let the car rest on the jack stands...

Yea it started sinking into the road AH!!!!

I'd highly doubt a thin piece of cardboard would stop a 3500+ lb. car from sinking into the pavement.

Ususally use a piece of plywood or other flat, 1/2" thick wood.

Anyhow, looks like the bar was installed fairly easily -- how's it feel?

This may sound real stupid, but how are you guys getting the car up on the jack stands? I attempted and failed the install yesterday because i couldn't get the car up high enough to put the stands on.

I was using this jack from sears (Jack and Stands ) to jack up the car from the rear, but I needed about another 2.5 inches to get the stands under the car even on the lowest setting. Anyone wanna help with a solution so I can get the RSB on? Is putting a piece of wood under the jack safe? or did everyone else spring for the $149 hydralic jack? Mind you I only really bought this jack for the install and to have just in case.

Sorry for the novel

It is definitely okay to put something under the jack to raise it up a little, but make sure the jack is stable on it. Then, of course, use the jack stands.

Okay problem fixed some bolts weren't tight enough.
Now i'm a happy camper =)

Well I have the same jack stands, All I used is the regular tire jack for each side.

I go on the right side raise the jack to the highest point and then set the jack stand as high as it can go securely and then lower the car on the jack stand using the tire jack.

I did it to both sides no problem, but the surface under it started to sink.. whoops sorry town for destroying our roads..

The rest is good to go.

I ran into the same problem. I had an old 4"x4" around from a previous house project so I cut about a 6" piece and then used that block as an extension between the jack and the car. I lifted using the rear jack point (under and forward of the rear bumper).

Are you jacking the car up from the rear jacking point in the center of the rear? I had it all the way up and couldn't get anywhere near the clearance needed to put the jackstands on?

Same problem with 3 tonne jack. Couldn't get the car high enough. Neigbour has a 5 tonne jack. Problem solved.

I put 2x8's under the stands as well.
