Comptech header owners: does your header hiss?
Can I get an informal poll among you Comptech owners regarding header hiss: did you notice increased hiss after the install, and if so, please describe it.
I have just installed the Topspeed header (chinese DC knockoff made of ss) and am happy with it, but the hiss is quite noticeable. After searching the forums there is a lot of comment on this hiss in the DC header as well, but not so much about the Comptech, so if you do have it, here is your place to let others know.
For myself, I think I might first try a flex pipe change, but if that doesn't work, I'd still like a performance header without having everyone in my car say "whats that noise?:

There's no hiss in my comptech header. though on rare times i get a vibration/shudder upon start and idle but once it starts moving and after a short time its gone. So doesnt really bother me.
Just double check that the header is on tight. Other than that at times u get what u paid for.....

The DC header is a hissing header, and if its a DC Header knock off like you said, then this must be normal?
I think you might hear this quite a bit.

Please leave the 'you get what you paid for' comments out of this thread. I understand its a tempting excuse for any imperfections, but I'd like some real discussion on the hissing sound (or lack of) on the Comptech header. I'll start a topspeed header thread soon and you can all bitch there. (cause you didn't bitch enough in the 12 page thread already). grrr.

The reason the comptech at times rattles is that its a 1-piece design and there's no additional support in the the middle to hold it still....
Got a few friends that have the DC header and they never complained of the DC hiss.
