Cold Air Intake...mpg Question

Everyone says that with CAI the car sounds better but does it help with gas mileage? Im not willing to sacrifice gas mileage for noise but if it comes down to more gas mileage and noise, im down.

i hear a lot of mixed so thats why i come to you guys

I just put my K&N Typhoon on a month ago...after two tanks of gas my mpg is down maybe 1-2 mpg off the average. Though I must admit I have a bit of "lead foot syndrome."

Glad to see some Bay Area representation from ck123!

keep off the vtec and you'll be fine, it doesnt hurt MPG, instead should help it since the car can breath easier now

CAI didn't change anything. Actually after all my mods, the Hondata increased my Avg mpg from 23-25 up to consistent 27-28mpgs. Can you say, running rich.

I have been tracking my mpg since 9/20/2005. I got my reflash on Aug. 2006 and it has been incredible since then.

I installed my Injen CAI last Saturday and my mileage seems about the same. If it drops, it'll be because I'm having way too much fun going WOT all the time when I go through tunnels/overpasses. Hell yeah!

I don't believe my Icebox has affected my mileage. IMHO it depends on your driving style. For example, last roadtrip I got 34.4mpg on a tank of gas.

CAI had no effect on mileage here. Not the Injen or the Comptech, I've had both on, and stock w/ no resonator.
