clutch and flywheel question

Hello, I am going to be replacing my clutch and flywheel and keep going back and forth about flywheel options. Can I put whatever weight flywheel and clutch combo on stock ecu, or do I have to get refresh or hondata tuning if I go with lighter flywheel.

you can put whatever flywheel and clutch combo in your car, as you wish. however, it may cause un-wanted features or attributes.

a reflash or a hondata tune will make the car more enjoyable by tuning out certain things..
for example Rev hang...you can tune rev hang out. One can tune these unwanted features or attributes out.

OK I understand. it's my daily driver but I do like to have fun in the car especially on the way home from work. not looking for the most aggressive clutch kit just something a little better. do you have any recommendations on a kit? I also am replacing the slave and master for the clutch pedal with the ktuned kit to get rid of that annoying delay.

I am not familiar with the aftermarket clutch setups for the TSX as I have a 2006 TL 6MT...

I do want to, however, swap my Master Cylinder for the K-tuned one! as you said, takes out the delay!

I also want to go the Light weight fly wheel route as well!!

I've replaced the clutch a couple times on my 2004 TSX with 260K miles. The first time I used stock Acura parts. The most recent time I used a light weight flywheel (Competition Clutch Lightweight Steel Flywheel - ST (2-800-ST) for a RSX Type-S, and a Exedy OEM Replacement Clutch Kit (KHC10) for a RSX Type-S. The manual TSX has a unique flywheel so not a lot of aftermarket options to work with a TSX clutch, that's the reason why I switched the TSX flywheel/clutch parts to RSX Type-S. It works great, The lightened flywheel helps it rev more freely and eliminates the rev hang. It does take a little more finesse to get it moving from a stop, but once you get used to it, it's not a problem. I do have the Hondata re-flash, but that just smooths out the VTEC engagement and bumps the rev limiter up a bit. Just make sure to use a Honda throw-out bearing, the aftermarket ones don't last.

I have an 05 TSX, and i have an exedy 8.9lb flywheel with exedy clutch kit. I love it makes driving much more enjoyable along with a em2 master//slave cylinder.
