Clear tint?
Clear tint?
Hope this is the right place to ask this, and hopefully y'all can help me out, I've never been to a tint shop or anything and am pretty much a noob about it.
I don't like the look of dark tint at all, I actually like to have a lot of sunlight in the cabin while driving, brightens up the atmosphere, etc. But I am interested in the protection it provides against the heat.
So I guess my question is, is there a clear or near clear tint that doesn't block any light, but would shield against the heat at the same time? I was thinking of the light blue tint that MBs come with stock.
Would this be more or less expensive then the typical dark tint?

If you don't like dark tint then i would suggest going with like a 70% (not really that dark but it will block like 95% of UV and still allow 70% of the light in) that is made my either Madico or Huper Optik. It may cost more but if you only want it for heat resistence/UV protection then you need to go with a GOOD brand.
I never heard of clear tint, and then it wouldn't really be called tint, it would be called "heat blocker" or something like that.....lol

The TSX comes with heat rejecting tinted glass standard on the TSX. I have two cars with 35% tint all-around and the TSX is noticeable cooler with the heat rejecting tint.
I asked my 3M window tint installer if there was any clear tint I could put on my front windshield that provide UV protection and anti-glare/polarization from daily glare from the sun (live in the southwest). They said there was no such product that they knew of for putting on a windshield. I would go for it if that tint is out there.

you have to limit the amount of light that comes into the car to stop the inside from being so hot. its like a greenhouse effect. the light comes in, heating your interior that absorbs the light. then your interior puts out the heat, but cant escape beacue the windows are closed. so the darker the tint, no matter the collor, the cooler the inside should be. so leave the sunroof cracked, or the windows down.

That's strange, cause almost every single used vehicle I have seen that transferred in from Vagas to the east coast has had window film applied to the front windshield. I always thought it was stange becuse I thought it would create vision issues at night but I have seen it at least a dozen times.
