Cleaning CAI filter
Could anybody give me some idea of HOW to Clean the Injen CAI filter?
Do I have to take them off to wash it or can I wash it without taking them off?
I looked at Injen.com if they have any explanation about cleaning the filter but I
couldn't find anything about cleaning. I had Intake about 7,000 miles, and I heard I need to clean it every 9,000 miles?

I don't how I am going to do that, do you think Acura dealership will help me clean my CAI filter during my 30,000 service? or where can I take it to get it cleaned?

For best preformance, you shouldn't exceed 10,000 miles between cleanings. Go buy yourself a K&N filter cleaning kit, and like Jtso, follow the instructions on the kit to do the cleaning. It's a no-brainer, anyone could do it.

It's like a prefilter for the filter. It also stops small splashes from reaching the filter element.
I assume that it also restricts airflow somewhat but I haven't seen any dynos to back that up.

Use a drycharger. I have a drycharger on my CAI and you can take that off in seconds and clean it. I can change my drycharger without taking the wheel off. Just peeling the wheel well cover back enough to get your arm in there. Its held on by elastic bands. The drycharger will stop any road sand. It is a very fine material like a thin light gortex.
