Can someone teach me how to paint TSX lip spoilers?

Do I have to take it to a dealer shop?
I would like to purchase M3 lip spoiler which sells for like 30 bucks on e-bay and paint it myself. Where do I get the paint sprays and everything?

If someone with experience could teach me I would greatly appreciate. Thanks.

You won't be able to get the paint and do as good a job as some body shop for such a small piece and come out ahead financially. Just take it to some shop.

You might be able to get a better price on the paint job if you take it to a paint shop that does a lot of Acura's (probably one your dealer uses) and just tell them to paint it whenever they have your paint color mixed up for another larger job. I've heard people say a lot of the cost in getting something so small painted is because they have to mix up extra paint.

They supposedly go through 4 major process.

1. Paint.
2. Bake.
3. Scrub.
4. Clear coat.

The bodyshop I went to charged me $70 (labor + parts) but I paid only $50.

But if you want to try the DIY method, you can get a custom spray can matched from your paint code from Tower Paint

I was just giving him the DIY option. For the cost of the custom spray can, shipping, and the chance there is a major f- up while spraying, $50-80 for a professional job seems like a small amount of coin IMO.

$40 is damn cheap rmatic. Maybe I should pick one up in LI next time I'm there.

I suggest you just listen to the majority here and pay the extra $$$ to paint it. Unless you're going to be painting a lot of your parts from now on. And everyone elses, you should just get a pro to do it. Paint setup, sprayer and everything to go with painting it costs a lot. Even when I painted my older PC case to a mirror finish it took 3 days and $20 in primer and paint sandpaper.

What body shop did you use? Can you recommend a good shop in the Seattle/Bellevue area?

I went to Callahan's auto rebuild at 1319 E. Madison in Seattle. They offer lifetime guarantee on workmanship.

Actually, now that I have checked the invoice, it was $103.36 out the door.
