CAI + HEADER + Hondata

Sorry if repost, and i know therse a dyno of it on hondata but just wondering

If CAI gives like +5-10 hp
Headers give around +10
and Hondata gives like +15 for 2006 tsx's

Should I expect around 25 hp increase if I do all three?

Pretty much, +/- 5 horses.

Does Hondata add 15 peak HP for 06? Did'nt think it was that much.

And moved to Parts & Perf.

peak was around 10 i think, but around 5000 rpms, there was a 29 hp difference, so do i expect at difference of around 50 HP at those points?! thats kinda unbelieveable....haha i guess thats why im asking

^^ Those are not peak gains of 29 hp, Those are gains in certain RPM ranges. With all of those mods you would probably gain about 25 hp at the crank I'm guessing. But with Hondata and those mods it's really more about the extra power in certain RPM ranges, especially when Vtec is engaged.

yeah, i know its not peak. But with all three, do i expect gains of at most 50 hp at certain rpm points? Thats really nutsy! But im guessing at peak, i'd hit +25?

I said 25 hp at the crank and not at the wheels. That's probably a generous number too. There is no way you'll get gains of 50 hp anywhere with just intake, header, and reflash. I'm not sure where you're getting that number.

Here's a dyno of an 04 MT w/ intake and header.

oops, i was referring to 06 reflashes, if you look at a stock dyno with hondata on an 06, theres like a 30 hp gain around 5000 rpm, so im assuming with +10 hp and +10 hp from the CAI and header, it might be a huge boost?

The reflash alone is worth the money. If you're worried about doing the mods, don't be. Everyone here who's done the intake, header, reflash has been happy with it. Tsx536 is right, though, I don't think there's anyway you'll see 50 hp, '06 or otherwise. That's SC territory.

If you're referring to the dyno posted on the Hondata site, remember they did all of that with the CAI and header.

note...+25 in the 5000 range...so with a conservative +3 +3 from cai and header i should see a +30?

Also note, these were done by the worst reflash and the best stock

You can't just add hp figures together to get a result.

They all affect different parts of the curve, and some may even cancel each other out at certain points.
