Talk to Heeltoe, he's got good replacement rotors and pads available. Unless you're gonna be going to track day somewhere, upgrading to the bigger brake kits is worthless.

In most cases I would agree, but I guess I tend to beat the piss outta mine, and the sliding pin single piston calipers deform badly under heavy braking - not so much that I cared about the pedal feel but they wore out badly. On my 97 Civic sedan I went through four sets of front CALIPERS (and God only knows how many sets of pads) in 200,000 km not because of caliper seals (never had a leak) but because they wore out the slide pins and the body of the caliper where the slide pins went in. I'd tear them down and lube them with sil-glide twice a season when changing snows to summers and back (sometimes even changed the pin part with new Honda pieces) but they still would not go more than about 2 years before they got so sloppy that the pads would cock in the caliper and wear wierd. This happened with OEM pads, AEM pads, Raybestos carbon pads, Axxis pads, the works. Not a problem that pads or rotors could fix - that's why I want to get the 4 pistons, and for me I'm betting that the one piece solid rotors on the TL dynamic are probably fine.

Can anyone comment on the TL dynamic swap????

From the Department of Redundancy Department

Stop Tech is the only company that has Front and Rear BB Kits. Brembo is supposed to come out with the rears sometime sooooooooooon, but who knows. If you just want fronts consider Rotora, they are quite good as far as I can desern. But so is Stop Tech, they have a pretty good web site too. Very good tech info, online templates and lots of extras. If money is not object and you are willing to shell out the $1,100 brake jobs go for Brembo.

Bringing this thread back to life, what would you guys say for someone looking to replace just the rotors on an 04 TSX. Realizing that rotors alone won't do terribly much for stopping distance, I'm tired of my stock rotors getting vibration issues after so long without maintenance. Recommendations?

if you're just upgrading rotors and not pads .. a lot of members opt to get the Brembo blanks. but if you're goal is to reduce/eliminate the vibration while braking issue . you should also replace pad as well. And with how weak our brake system is, i'd recomend to go with a more aggressive pad than oem.

I myself use oem pad and rotor for front, Racing brake ET500 pad and Racingbrake 1 piece slotted rotor in the rear (purchased from Marcus @ heeltoe.com).

Once i feel like and/or be wiling to fork out 350 or so to upgrade the front set, I'll be upgrading to the Racingbrake ET500 pad and Racingbrake 1 piece slotted rotor.
