Blacked Out Windows Trim with Blackout tape w/Pics

Ok so I went ahead and bought one roll of the black out tape. Unfortunatly it only covers one side of the car with one roll. So I was able to take pictures of one side and other as a comparison.

It looks alright though I prefer the little bling bling of the exterior chrome.

Overall looks pretty decent, but I agree with the others that if you're gonna do it, you're gonna have to cover those door handles too.

Good job applying the tapes! Looks pretty nice BUT I still prefer the chrome trim a tad better.

The JDM handles have more chrome on them than the USDM ones do.

Exhibit A:

Maybe a tiny bit off topic but I swear it's not way off...

I noticed in CCC's sig about (need funds for) JDM headlights and rear corner. But from the pictures I've seen of the EuroR headlights, what is the difference from that to ours on the TSX? Only difference I can tell is the corner is white and ours is yellow. Is that it?

That actually looks pretty nice.

Can you do me a favor and take a wide shot? I'd consider doing it to my car if it looks nice.

The tape I got at Advanced Auto Parts. It was pretty hard to keep from getting bubbles I think it took me almost an hour to do the one side. I will do a more detailed write up this weekend hopefully.

Well, that would have been the other option, which is to get the all chrome JDM door handles, but I just figured it'd be easier to cover up the current ones.

You can adjust the height but the pattern will still be screwed up. The __/‾‾ line will be reversed.

It might not be a big deal, but it's something to consider.

You might consider LHD EDM headlights. Looks just like JDM but with the correct beam pattern........

definately some nice work

I do like the black JDM look better than the chrome USDM.. I think the TSX has way too much chrome and less chrome = more aggressive look. Can you link the exact tape your got?

Hey guys, I posted earlier that I had actually bought the Euro-R black trim. They should be coming in this thursday, and I was wondering if anyone had any idea how to take the original chrome trim off?

Could the instructions to take the chrome trim on the doors off be in the helm's manual that people always talk about? Anyone with the manual, if you could help me out with some tips that would be appreciated. Thanks again.

will be sure to post pics once i get this installed.

hope you figure out soon cause i am going to keep pm'ing you till you get it on cause i want to see it. takes some pics before you put it cause i would like to see the front and the back of the trim. also what is the cost of it. I will be buying the helm's manual soon but not for another month or so. I have finally given in to the fact that it would be very useful, because I have needed things more than once.

Yeah no doubt, hopefully it'll be up by this weekend. I'll be sure to take the pics of the trim pieces before putting them up.

So anyone have any ideas on how to take the trim off though? Or else I guess its trial and error...hopefully I don't scratch up my paint in anyway if I have to do it w/o any instructions.

Thanks for the diagram on how the trim pieces go on!

I got my black trim pieces yesterday, but found that they forgot to include the straight bottom pieces for all 4 doors.

I guess i'll just try and put the top pieces in tonight and will post pics and description later this weekend.
