Best forced induction setup?

wondering...what would be the best choice in terms of forced induction?

im not much of a fast driver, but it would be nice to have extra power, as well as i would like adding something very impressive to the car.

which takes more prep? and around how much would something like that be?

as far as turbo, i believe there isnt one specifically for our car, but it can be done yes?

this isnt really too serious, but its been in the back of my mind.

i have enough for a bike, but still need to think about both possibilities.

i just think that with something like that, it would make my car a bit more respected in the land of all the V8's i know.

Forced induction on the TSX has only been done by a couple people. One was a Euro Accord and the other was a HKS show car. The major drawback is we don't have a fuel management system that works yet. Once it's available, there will be a flood of boosted TSXs around.

Edit: there's also the prototype Comptech upercharger installed on their test mule.

as i understand it, a turbo kit will not be in the near future because of the plans/rumors of honda making a turbo tsx?

I think Cybernation said that, but:
a) there won't be a turbo TSX anytime soon (if ever)
b) other companies will likely make a kit once fuel management is available

fix your clutch and learn to drive MT first, otherwise say goodbye to a clutch every 5k miles

It's hard to force induce the 4-banger to the level of V8's...

in relation to the 4 bagner comment:
i just had to listen to my buddy preach about old mr2's for hours last night at a party. "a tuned mr2 (no engine swap) can be quicker than a 2005 viper." i love hearing crap like that. i suppose it could happen with some engine swaps and tranny things. but the viper does 0-60 in first gear.... i know that from experience

The only area MR2 may have an advantage is lighter weight but still can't tune that 4 banger to make enough torque to compensate to run quicker than a Viper.

I am sooo

But those 4-bangers on steroids are in relatively lighter cars, aren't they?

So engine to engine, typically a blown 4-banger is still hard pressed to keep up with NA V8's ? Please enlighten me

This is off the topic of TSXs, but is anyone making electric induction systems? (with an electric motor)

Cool thanks for the link. It seemed like a good idea to me because you can eliminate any draw when you're running hard, but I didn't know what they would be called if they existed at all.

Well, doing some research, it looks like there's just too much inefficiency in an electric system capable of producing significant boost. I guess there's a reason superchargers and turbochargers have been around so long...

Anyway, thanks again for the link
