AUX input install question
AUX input install question
Hi! I just got my TSX last week. It's the AT with the NAV. I was wondering if anybody knew of a trustworthy stereo place, in the NY area (I'm in Brooklyn) where I could bring it to have the AUX input plug installed so I can use my IPod. I just want to make sure they do a good job. It is a brand new car...
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I am a true novice, though. I've never installed any car stereo equipment. I wouldn't even know how to get to the back of the stereo, not to mention how to wire it to the armrest. Is it really that easy?

It's really easy, trust me. I'm pretty weak when it comes to stuff like this and I was able to do it by following the instructions in the sticky. Just make sure you have a mirror so you can plug it in easily. If you want to get fancy with the routing of the wires then you might want to bring it to an audio shop. But I just slipped the wire through the driver's side kick panel and up into the arm rest. It isn't the cleanest install but it works.

As the other members have described, it's not that hard.
After looking at all the pictures, I decided to gung-ho it and not use a mirror. Added another 30 seconds as I felt around inside for the connector and then plugged it in.
And no, I've never installed anything in my car before in my life.
