aftermarket rods and pistons for k24

i picked up the latest super street for readin material for my plane ride to cali.

there is a honda engine buyer's guide that has some pistons and connecting rods and even a valvetrain set for the k24.

it didn't specifically say tsx - but i figure you guys should know. esp those of you that want turbo (stokeless)

i cant remember the company and i dont really care b/c i'm not in the market.

I doubt it is for the TSX K24 application. Most swaps performed with K24 installations are using K24s that are specified as engines for the Accord, Element, and CR-V. They have a different head than our K24 (also note the 40 hp shortage).

I would think that the rods may be a good idea, but I'm not sure about the pistons. We've already got a bit of compression ratio.

Would this head gasket work on our engine: http://www.jhpusa.com/catalog/produc...5ee7663214a83b

Mugen K-Series Headgasket

A two-layer construction is used instead of the normal three-layer gasket plate construction, and a rib (+0.07mm) is laser-welded close to the plate surface sleeve to prevent blowout occurring at high compression. This head gasket raises the compression ratio by 0.4 points. Construction is entirely of stainless steel.

$140.00 USD

Crower makes the rods and CP (a division of Crower) makes pistons. There are two catches tho: The Rods have a pin end width that requires aftermarket pistons, and the pistons support the K24 block but require a K20A2/K20A3/K20A head.

The pistons run a CR of 9:1 - perfect for a nice FI setup.
