AEM SRI Installation, before and after.

Before installation:

In the middle of installation:

After the installation:

Bonus:

What kind of bug is this?!

.
.
.
Summary:

The installation took exactly two hours and my back's extremely in pain, but I am very satisfied of my first ever modification.

on the increase in sound and the small increase in power.

Nice. Did you remove the resontor as well? If not then why the heck did it take 2 hours, Dan Martin could do it in 25 minutes

The reason it took two hours was because if you look at the "In the middle of installation" picture, the bolt that's right underneath the fuse box to the right, took me 40 minutes to pull out. I know I know, why not use a wrench socket?

I was too lazy to go buy one.

And I did remove the resonator....

Last winter.

I can't give a good explanation to why it took so long...

Why did you remove it last winter? Did you have another intake installed?

It cracked during one of the fender-bender moments, so I was driving without the resonator for a good 8-9 months.

Is that safe? How was aired directed to the filter in a stock setup?

It was directed by absolutely nothing.

But it is safe, I went to the dealer and many other body shops to confirm if it was safe, and they all gave the thumbs up.

I put 10k miles on my TSX without the resonator, and even took long trips down to VA & SC without encountering any problems.

its pretty common to remove the resonator from the stock intake, it produces a slightly better sound and is slightly freer flowing. The vaccum directs air into the intake anyways, that's not a problem.
