AEM bypass valve failure!
I've had an AEM CAI and bypass valve in my Accord for almost 5years, just over 4.5years about. This weekend the bypass valve split into two!
This happend on my Accord coupe, but for those running one on the TSX, if you have one you may want to inspect the unit or remove it all together.
I don't think I sucked anything into my Accord's engine, but how would I have known? Small pieces of plastic likely would have been burnt and spit out the exhaust anyhow.
And yes the CAI and AEM were installed correctly, Dan on the site had seen my install before it died. Currently the AEM is out of my Accord, without the bypass valve or some type of silicon hose to cover the space once occupied by the bypass valve my AEM CAI is a POS non working AEM product.....back to stock OEM intake for me

You know, this same thing happened to me, but to the plastic behind foam....I was able to use twist ties to tie it all back together.

I'm going to send mine back to AEM for them to see, as far as I know I've had the most miles on an AEM bypass valve, I've had it in the car for 5years almost not sure if anyone else has done that, plus I had one of the oldest designs too.
