I'm hoping to have the AT knob sorted out by the end of summer.

That's gotta be pretty heavy, how much does the one for MT weigh? I'm very interested!-KC
Great work on the shiftknob Dan
How long does it take you to make one?
I'm looking forward to the AT version. At this point, do you know if the AT version will have a different shape/weight?

The shift throws are amazingly smooth. It makes the stock knob feel like a toy
Engraving is the current priority. Once we have all the details of what will be available, I'll post an update article.
The only catch to the engraving is you'll have to use the lock nut that came with the OEM knob so you can align the shift pattern.

There are a few steps to machining process but the lathes that I used are the best money can buy (mid six figures). They're JDM yo!

The lathes actually do the work of several machines in one. Human hands don't have to reload the part on various machines to finish the work. This ensures tight tollerances on every dimension and concentricity between the threaded center and the outer perimeter. This means that the knob is perfectly balanced left to right, and front to back which gives you a really solid feel when moving through the gears.
The AT version will have a slightly revised shape and the weight will be scaled back considerably. I might go with a mixed-metal construction on the AT knobs to get the proper weight. The response for AT knobs is bigger than I was expecting so I'm going to make it my priorty to get them done sooner than the end of the summer.

The first batch of knobs is almost spoken for already but I'll make sure to set one asside for you.

It's also great to hear that you are going to make the development of the AT version a priority.

Wait a minute. I don't see "Official Vendor" in your title.

Keep this up and you'll get in trouble with the mods.

I'm an "Official Supplier", AcuraZine is the "Official Vendor".

It's in the works. I've posted a few more details in this thread.
