Looks like it would be about $77 from Acura eStore.

Part # is 54102-SEP-A01ZA

I like how the bottom of the knob sits flush on the silver ring. I removed the locknut on my setup (JDM S2000 knob w/ red lettering), but it still doesn't sit that far down. Does anyone know a) if this knob will fit on our cars, and b) if it's threaded "deeper" than our stock knobs?

I like the look of my all silver shift knob, but definitely wouldn't mind going back to a leather/alum combo. In the summer, it's a bi-atch! to initially grab after the car's been sitting in the sun.

I might be running down to my local Acura stealership and will take a look.

I'd love to see if some of the other parts fit as well.

On the shift knob, my guess is yes right now. Honda loves creating a 'niche' car like the TL-S and ITR because they know there will be tons of wannabe's who want the parts.

Heck, my DC2 Integra had everything from the ITR except the most important part: THE ENGINE.

Man, I'm all about this TL Type S shift knob. It's pretty sweet looking. Please keep us in the loop.

when i went to acura about a week ago to look at the tl type s, i held the knob and it was pretty comfortable! it felt nice holding it, good size/width, a bit thicker than our stock. but i forgot to see if it'll fit our tsx's because i was too preoccupied by the features of the type s. the type s is worth a look/drive. soo awesome!

that is a beautiful knob, but its going to look weird w/o the silver ring underneath it, and that shift boot. I think it'll require more than just the knob to make it look right on a TSX

Oops... in all this hype about becoming a mod, I forgot to post up. The knob looks like it will fit, but it is the silver ring is part of the boot which unfortunately does not look like it will fit our TSX. The bare end of the knob is not nice looking.

That's a very attractive knob, and it shies away from the typical design. Does anyone know if it would fit the Honda S2000?

The TSX and S2000 have the same thread and diameter shaft... in other words, if it doesn't fit the TSX, it won't fit the S2000. The shift knob I have in my car right now is off of a JDM S2000...

I'd be willing to buy the shift boot as well if it WOULD work! Moda - what is it about the boot that looks like it wouldn't be compatible? Is it too small/large?

Mainly the way they are mounted to the center consol piece. I haven't investigated it throughly enough to be 100%, but I know the TL has a separate trim ring and it looks like the mounting screw for the TL boot is not on the same corner as ours. Only way to confirm is to get a TL forum member to post up pics of the underside of their console and compare.

ok. so if what modaway said was right about that the knob will fit but not the boot. i thought of how the knob itself might look on the tsx. so i did some 2 min photoshop here. it not so great looking without the ring imo.

Just buy the ring, unless it is sold only together with that trim piece and boot. The ring should be secured to the boot with a cable tie like all the other Honda/Acura shiftknob rings.

It might not look as bad if you removed the locknut, and ran the boot all the way up to the bottom of the TLS knob... but yeah --- the silver ring would still look the best.

It has to be secured to the boot by some means. Either a cable tie or by glue. In the worst scenario, I'm sure you can get the whole centre trim and shift boot to get the ring.

That's the same setup with the Accord Euro over here. The knob clips onto an adapter (in the TL's case, the ring) and that adapter is secured to the shiftboot. Just get the metal ring and all will be well.

Yeah, I like the red lettering...thats the only reason I like my stock knob sort of.

For some reason the "JDM S2000" knob that Boomplustoys sells for $213 has black lettering:

Which looks suspiciously like the S2k titanium heavyweight knob you can get anywhere for $112:

Is the one you have titanium or aluminum?

Mine's definitely alum... I've never held the titanium, but people have said it's noticeably heavier. Unfortunately, the part code from the box was removed --- I hate it when stores do that so that you can't order from anywhere else. I've heard that the knob I have was also used in the Teg-R.

On a side note, I finally decided I'll just be the guinea pig --- an '07 TL Type-S knob is enroute to my house via AOE. The boot w/ the silver trim ring isn't currently available (no listed ETA yet either), but I planned on trying it w/o first, and running the stock boot all the way up to the base of the new knob.

For others interested (unless ya'll are waiting to see how mine turns out), I noticed in the eStore that 2004-06 6MT TL shift knobs/boots go for nearly twice as much as the ones from the 2007 TL-S. The setups look similar (if not identical), and the pricing doesn't make much sense to me since I would assume that the TL-S would be more expensive... In any event, it's just something to keep in mind.

If you really like the red lettering then you can paint them. I know someone did it and came out pretty nice.

The one you've got must be this one then:

They actually make a titanium version too:

Just a mini update... received my '07 TL-S knob earlier this week, and I must say... it is sharp. The boot is now available again, and I have one on its way. I'm going to see if I can just detach the ring from the TL-S boot, and connect it to the existing TSX boot... less work, eh? I'll update and post pics when I get everything sorted out.

Might not be this coming weekend though... the Mrs. and I are going on a little 3 day mini vaca-trip. 2-yr wedding anniversary

the P/N is 08U92-S2A-100

type it into Froogle.com and find the cheapest price.

Cheapest Ive seen it is $109 and some change...you could also use the DC5 ITR titanium knob, which is identical expect that it has the red engraved numbers for extra bling:
