2006 DC Headers Installed
I installed the DC Headers into my 2006 PWP 6 Speed today. Just wanted to let other '06 owners know there are no fitment issues, as mine fit nice and snug
Also, I installed mine as a single unit versus mounting the primary first, and installing the secondary after. If others plan on doing it this way, the warnings I give are:
1) Make sure the car is raised high enough to provide clearance of the header to be mated to the motor. I had to jack my car higher prior to installation.
2) It is a pain in the a$$ to get the hanger mount on! I found it easier to remove the hanger from the car, install it on the header, and then install it back onto the car.
Not sure which way is more efficient, but I thought I'd try it since the Comptech header comes as a single piece.
This was a nice addition to my current mods (K&N Typhoon, Hondata Reflash, TB Bypass Mod), and was noticeable according to my butt dyno
Next performance mod I'll be installing is my Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion exhaust. Stay tuned until next time...

The trick to install it as one piece is to hook the header hanger to the rubber hanger first (do not remove the rubber hanger off the frame). Then rotate the header up and mount it to the head.

Next up is the Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion Exhaust, Progress Rear Sway Bar, and Tein FLEX with EDFC. Once those are in, the Mugen NR's will find their new home
Other Mugen parts I have, while minor, are the Oil Cap, Magnetic Drain Plugs (Oil & Transmission), and Lug Nuts.
Cheers!

If you've got a full CAI, it is probably masking any noises. I've got a Icebox to stay nearly stock (didn't like the full growl of Injen I had) and I think the header noises I have are pretty subtle compared to that. For some reason I like my mods to remain quiet.
^i agree with REACH "to keep mines nearly stock".
i like the header/icebox, cuz the car rev up quicker and for the little increase at top end. but it would be your decision on what to go for, as far as what sound u what at cruising or WOT. so the choose is your......
