07 TSX - Just got FlashPro

So I was on the list to get the reflash as soon as it was available, and I'll admit, it took so long I gave up and stopped dropping by. Well to my surprise I checked back in here the other day and noticed the flashpro was out so I picked it up.

Got it today and I was going to go plug her in and see what's what. Here's the thing:

Right now, I only have an SRI on the car. Nothing else. Bone stock 07 AT tsx basically. All I'd like to do NOW is lower the vtec engagement point to 4500-4800ish until I can add some more mods. It might seem trivial, but the little bit I get to drive this car, I'd love to hear that sweet sound of the intake open up a bit sooner.

Is this safe? I have a friend who keeps telling me not to do anything until it's dyno'd and tuned. I do not plan on changing a single other thing until that's done, but in all reality, I don't see a reason to get tuned on a stock car. Maybe I'm wrong.

I was wondering if there is any risk of just dropping the vtec point 1k aside from lowering my fuel mileage

Thanks in advance.

Not overly helpful, I must say...

There was a preset profile that just had the injen CAI only. Moved vtec to 4800 and it no longer KICKS in, it just smoothly opens up under WOT, but ultimately feels more responsive as a whole. Beforehand, Vtec kicked in at what, 5500-6000 and was only around for 1000rpm or so? It was a rather noticeable kick and this is much smoother but still evident.
