I was thinking about it.

From what I've read from other members, the OEM cat for 06/07/08 is a lot less restrictive compared to the 04/05 cats. 04/05 TSXs would benefit more from the RT Cat compared to 06/07/08 TSXs. Right now I'm leaning toward NO because of the potential of check engine lights (CEL) with the RT Cat and only a very slight improvement over all to hp/tq.

No, just because I doubt there would be a noticeable gain and it would make my car too loud. I think it is loud enough with the Greddy Evo2, the high-flow cat would just make it worse.

If i remember correctly, the air flow is like 300 or 400 on the 06's and the RT Cat is like 150-200, so its not that much different whereas the 04-05's were like 800-900 i think. Some one correct me if i'm wrong!

EDIT: I have NO plan for that or exhaust, probably just hondata and headers if i decide to mod the engine at all....debating that, a supercharger, or nadda and save money

To correct what I think Jwood is trying to say

Stock 04-05 cat: 900 cell cat
Stock 06+: 400 cell
RT Cat: 200 cell

I could be wrong too but those numbers aren't air flow, its cell counts that Jwood is quoting. My understanding is less cell count=more air flow.

Ya, its doesn't seem to be much of an improvement for them. As for me, and I assume you, a 500 cell drop is quite a bit of flow opened up.

I have the RT cat on my 06 MT and noticed a difference on the butt dyno, and it didn't make my CT cat back much louder

+1

I installed the Comptech I/H/E all at the same time on my 06 MT, and I feel that the RT Cat yielded as many gains as the I/H/E combined.

If you're going to increase the airflow, might as well complete the process. The universal fact is that a system is only as strong as its weakest component. Plus, it's cheap and as long as you use the anti-fouler setup, you won't get any CELs :knock wood: .
