Is $180 a good price for the Injen short ram intake???

Is $180 a good price for the Injen short ram intake???
my local car shop said that he can do that price for me....

also, do we have to remove our resonator or is there enough clearance for the cone?

$180 is a good price, I got my K&N for $200 IIRC. And yes for a CAI you need to remove the resonator, for a SRI you do not

Make sure you're getting the full 2 piece CAI for that price, and you can run it in SRI mode if you wish. I got mine for $195 shipped, $180 would be the best price I've seen yet.

With the short ram I am thinking all you would have to remove is the filter box, the injen filter sits about were the box is. For the extended version, RD1430, I would say definitily.

Sorry redundant????

I think with the short ram you gain back a little more low end torque because of the shorter tube than the 2-piece. It is a bit louder and has a slightly different sound. You lose a little high end HP, my guess because it isn't using the cold air from behind the air dam, but warmer air from being closer to the engine. I could be wrong but this is what happened, it seemed to me, when I converted my 2-piece CIA Injen to the SRI configuration.

i lose top end HP from stock config or from CAI config??? how much peak HP will i gain from stock?

Form CIA configuration, but not much. I think difference from stock is about 9-10 HP at peak. Keep in mind that I think this is mostly when the big cams are engaged so you mainly feel it only when the engine is screamin' pretty good (6000 RPM +).
