Question XM radio free trail not stopping?

Hi

I leased my '05 TSX back in late August '05. Until now I still have XM radio, but I never called to cancel it or renew it. Doesn't the free 3-month stop by itself? Or did I had to call to discontinue it? Are they gonna charge me at the end of the year? What should I do?

Commercial? Are you talking about channel 01? Channel one will always be available no matter what because that's the channel you tune to so that you can make sure the XM radio is actually working. But it will only give you bits and peices of each channel.

For me, my XM didn't actually cut off until about 4 months later. Remember... when you test drove the car, the XM radio was already activated. So it probably just depends on when the dealership notified XM radio that you have bought your car and driven off with it and to start the trial. Or... the dealer might have been paying for the XM until the car sells and maybe the just paid for it at the beggining of the month and the day after you bought it. There are many possibilities... but i remember thinking "score! Free XM. I'm at almost 4 months and it's still going". But then like a few days later i was driving down the highway, the radio went out, came back on and then it only played channel 01.

i'm not listening to commercial... it's all the channels.... well i play only 4 channels all the time, but all 4 works still. It's over 6 months now... How generous of my dealership to be paying for my subscription if that's true...

My XM cut off March the 3rd. I was listening to fox news on my way home, had a phone call; when I came back my XM only wanted to catch the preview channel. My cut off was exactly 3 months from purchase I took delivery of my car on December 3rd. I am sure I will sign up just want to see if I can do with out if for a month. I also got a 5G IPOD and a Belkin Auto Kit so I am playing with that currently and do not miss XM so much yet.

It is now 4 years and my lease is due in 2 months... I'm still getting the free XM (at least I haven't pay for it or received a bill yet). I really hope I'm not getting a bill for these 4 years of XM when I turn in or trade in my TSX.

Your subscription fell off XM's radar screen - it's you dealing with XM; your vehicle dealer is out of the picture. You will not be billed for service. The rest of us pay in advance for the service - consider yourself fortunate and don't call XM for any reason.

I had free XM for over 2 years after getting my car. The past owner was probably paying for it
