Found out today that XM is going to be making ALL of their music stations commercial free as of Febuary 1st. They're also adding a few more stations, one of which includes a punk station I can't wait. I guess they're going to have instant traffic and weather for 13 major cities too. I don't live in any of them, but it's still pretty cool for the NYC and SoCAl guys....check it out:

It's still compressed music (a la MP3)... Sounds thin with no amplitude. The music sounds congested in the mid octave.

But with today's music, it's good enough I guess...

It still a better choice than regular FM...

 

Siruis is getting ready to release Video streams. They have also paried up with Eclipse, Blaupunkt, and another manufacture.

 

True that Sirius has paired up with a bunch of manufactures, but XM is paired up with even more aftermarket companies and auto makers. I think Sirius is great, but I REALLY love my XM.

As for the sound quality, I think it’s just fine. I was looking for something to replace my fm radio..not my cd player. I don’t know why everyone is saying that the quality is not good enough, I think people just expect way too much, but to each his own.

As for video streams, I thought a car was to drive in...just another distraction that we don't need. You people that drive with you cell phone glued to your ears scare me enough. Why do people pull out of their driveways with cell phone to their ears....were they not just parked or in their house?

 

This is a strong stock right now. XM has put up some incredible numbers over the last year.
