Friends,
I have yet to RTFM but can someone please alert me on how to display the artist name on XM on the LCD display where the clock is? On my RL all I have to do is hit the display button and it will change from station, artist, song name, station number, etc. I have yet to figure out on my wife's '08 TSX 6MT w/Nav.

Thanks for the help and not flaming me.

PS: My previous '04 TSX did not have XM or Nav.

 

According to page 180 of the 2008 Owner's Manual, NAVI models do not have the option of changing the display text in the upper LCD display. Non-NAVI models can cycle thru artist, title, etc... by tapping the display button.

 

I have no experience with the '08s, but it doesn't make sense to me that Acura would remove minor features like this from newer models that are on previous ones.

Just for kicks... try pressing and holding the "Audio" button while listening to the XM tuner. This cycles through the various display options on the upper LCD panel (artist, song name, category, etc.) - at least it does on my '06 w/NAV.

 

try holding the audio button down. for 5 seconds. should cycle you thru.

 

Navi owners can do it too. As mentioned previously, there's a button you have to hold down. However, I could have sworn it was another button (fm button?) that did it on my car. I know if you hold the XM button for 10 seconds, it'll toggle the upper display off. I use the button to the left of that to toggle the XM display option

 

Just learned something new. Funny i was wondering the same thing just last night. (07 w/ navi) I want to get the most life out of navi unit and wondered why it wouldn't display artist name in the lcd screen. Thanks for the info!
