XM Billing

For those of you that renewed your subscription during one of the special offers; how were you billed?

I chose the 5 months for $19.99 and was billed only $6 on my CC...

Doesn't anyone know if the billing is done all at once or billed monthly?

I get the yearly deal and it is is charged to my credit card all one time )not monthly). I think you better call and ask (you do not want to end up paying $6.00 a month)

$6 a month for XM radio? Quite to the contrary, I'd be all over $6 a month. The normal price is about $12 a month if paid yearly.

The person is getting 5 month for $19.99. If they are charged $6.00 a month that comes to $30.00=not good.

I had the 5 month deal and was charged all at once, 19.99 for the 5 months. Not sure if it's changed as I had this from Dec to April. If you do not want to continue be sure to cancel about a week before your trial ends. I canceled the day before and realized they charged me for 3 months the day before without ever even waiting for my trial to end. I did get a refund but not happy about that early charge. I know you agree to the continuing if you don't cancel but charging me like 3 days before my actual subscription ends is not cool. Def call up XM and ask what the deal is.

Def watch for this... they'll try to charge you the standard rate on the renewal. Cancel a week or two from your contract and wait for them to lure you back with the good rate. At most you'll go a week without XM!

^ yup. When I said I want to cancel they offered me the 5 mo for $20 again but honestly XM just sucks to me now. The music I listen to is redundant and the ads and talking are becoming more abundant on stations. Really sucks ever since Sirius came in the pic for my music taste. I know some ppl love em since other stations are good but the ones I like just suck now :*(

I tried calling them today and hung up after waiting for 20 minutes to speak with someone with a brain...

I'll probably cancel if I'm billed again next month... the benefits are not worth the time and frustration I've experienced dealing with them... took me 2 days and 4 phone calls just to get the system activated, and now this....

Yea, I won't lie, XM customer service are on two extremes. I've had a TERRIBLE couple of calls/experiences with their activation, billing etc. Also I've had a couple of perfect calls where they were quick with answering, knowledgeable and didn't try to BS and delay. Just depends on how good a rep you get when you call in. GL

Incompetent Douchebags

So far they've signed me up for the wrong program, billed me $51, taken 3 attempts to get my service activated, and kept me on the phone nearly two hours to sort out their errors...

Check your billing closely if you agree to any of their special offers; they may be pulling the same bait & switch that they did with me.

Needless to say I will not be renewing.....

Update

I was told last month that the credit due me for the overcharge would show up on my cc w/in 7 - 10 days; that was almost 4 weeks ago. I called again today as the money has not appeared and was told it will now be another 7 - 10 days before the credit appears...

That's too bad. I've had their service for 3 years on two cars, and I've always had great help on the phone. Once you get the program set up, you really don't need to call them any more. I pay annually for both cars - billed once a year to my credit card. Done. Everyone is different, but I'd saw off my arms and stuff them into my ears if I was forced to listen to FM and all that mind-numbing chatter.
