I would have to agree, i would rather see a modified 04-05 Mugen kit for the 06 however, if this is the only think that is doable, i really like this kit myself. I would def consider buying the Euro R is SSG makes it!

Let us know SSG

AWESOME work by the way!

Dunno if the right word is "boring" but it makes the TSX more refined and crisp if you ask me.

Something modified from a previous 04 Mugen year onto a 06 will just look, "not right."

I would also take the '06-'07 mugen lip kit for the TSX, however, it is a little too aggresive for me. The '04-'05 mugen lip kit is a little more subtle. The '06-'07 EuroR kit is like the '04-'05 EuroR kit and the '04-'05 OEM kit, it is simple, but it definitely makes the car look a lot nicer. The standard OEM kit is just horrendous for the '06-'07. It makes the car look bulkier than it is...not the look I am going for.

With this said, it is difficult for us '06-'07 owners to get a good kit as the mugen lip kit and EuroR kit have to be specially ordered from overseas at a costly price too if I might add. If supershyguy could make a replica, I am sure he would be getting a lot of business in North America from 06-07 TSX owners

and unless the replica euroR runs less than $750 shipped before paint it's not worth it either

the euroR also comes painted and is abs plastic vs fiberglass and can be bought for around $1200 shipped

i'd rather pay $200 for the real thing and get a PERFECT fit then a replica that is ALMOST perfect, which I;ve already done

Congrats on your work Peter. Glad this thread took off. I'm probably going to kill my pics on photobucket so the RSX pics will disappear from page 1. And since you have TSX pics here now we don't need to see your work for those guys.

If people remember back early we have tackled this simplified question so stop asking 06-07 over and over and over.

We made a list for Euro R kits. A front lip may even probably be more effective than the whole kit. Add the the previous 7 people who listed themselves and if Peter wants to tackle the project fine, but we at one point also agreed the costs was hardly worth it if you take into account of gettings it painted. That's his call though. I see it ideal if the Euro-R was not a smart move that he makes a modified or custom 06-07 from the earlier year or one of it's own of some sort. This would add to uniqueness of kits as well. I have an 06 and I want a kit (LIP) sometime this decade but the last 5 or so pages of "please make me an 06-07" is old. Let's think logically and give Peter time to weigh the best option for us with our input. He's a busy guy and we aren't his only car.

Your work shows again Peter and I'll still have to get you pics of the kit on the rolla when the rear is done. I don't want to modify the rear lip so I need a new exhaust to replace my DTM muffler.

I was 90% on making the Euro R lip lol but every 10 post some one said its only $1200 Shipped and painted so I am not sure if its even worth it

lol I am not sure. do you guys want to get the OEM for $1200

or replica for probably $700 Shipped? where can some one get Euro R for $1200 shipped?

mrheeltoe, AZ vendor can get those kits for you. I'm not sure the price is $1200 shipped though.

If the replica is $700, why bother making it, you guys have not counted how much you are going to spend on painting the lip kits, the total is probably worth the same as the OEM ones. Plus nothing match OEM paint job.

IMO, start working on making UKDM trunk spoiler instead.

I completely agree with this. If you make the OEM Kit or even the Euro Kit, those are relatively cheap compare to anything Mugen or Spoon.

Supershyguy, you would make so much more money making a replica of more expensive kits such as the Mugen Kit for the 06-07 and the full front bumpers. The phase is also a big popular that will bit all models and since that bumper alone is over $1000, you can sell it for a third less and people would still probably buy it.

I keep reading about the conflicts of some wanting 04-05 kits, and some wanting 06+ kits. I thought someone on this forum already swapped bumpers to prove that the front bumpers are swappable from 04-05 to an 06+ and back. If that's so, why can't an 04-05 mugen front bumper fit on an 06+? Probably the grill? I was also sure the phase was to bit all years.

Also, ducktail spoiler , if you made this and it fits just right, i think a lot of people will buy this.

yeah they're "swappable" but i think the issue with lips fitting them both comes in at the air dam area..'06 has fogs and the blank inserts where the '04/'05 doesn't have fogs.

I personally don't like the '06 mugen..seems to big/bulky plus you have to cut your bumper and relocate fogs. thats why I wished the '06 mugen looked like the '05. I'm down for a custom piece! '05 mugen on a '06 i'd be interested to see.. i'd like to see SSG just hold it up to the bumper to see what it looks like

Very few aftermarket kits are PU (polyurethane) due to the costs of tooling a mould, especially if it has intricacies.
A more plain design isn't so bad.

real mugen is made of re-inforced fibreglass. Whatever that means....
They say its more durable than just fibreglass kits, but not as strong as the oem/euro-r poly-u kits.

Sounds like FRP (GRP) - (fibre)glass reinforced plastic.
Wonder if it's sprayed in chopped fibre or a couple of cloths before or after the plastic's poured into the mould?

One thing cleints of SSG should worry about is if he includes instructions and all screws and brackets necessary for mounting the kit. because without it you or whoever will be installing the kit will have a hard time. When I installed the a-spec kit, it brought different screws and brakets for the sideskirts and rear lip. The mugen front lip brought screws as well. Plus the replica shown in the pics is missing the metal bracket permanently attatched to the mugen sidekirt that is next to it. So even though you see that it looks phenomenal dont be distracted by looks alone because it wont go on if you dont have all of the necessary parts.

Before ordering If I were you guys I would request that he show us the insides of the skirts to make sure it has all the mounts for the clips and brackets needed for instalation. Plus I would ask anyone who has mugen skirts that DIY to let you know
it what the box included. I know it is a replica but it should not be incomplete.
