Would People be interested in Painted Headlights

Hey we have been doing this for is300s for a while. I think it is time to offer this service to TSX owners. We would be able to paint the headlights any color. In other words we could make it JDM Flat Black, Gloss Black or Body Color. We would like to hook one of you guys/gals up so the first person interested in this would get a 50% off, just so i would be able to take pictures.

-Eddie

If any one of you guys/gals are interested please PM me, Aim Me @ Spivy1207 or Fusion Auto, or give me a call on my direct line 617-892-3480

I'm somewhat interested in a JDM flat black look. Would this service possibly include removing the stock amber reflector pieces as well? Could you also post some pics of this mod on an IS300?

If you paint the headlights (especially body color)... how do you see at night? I must be getting old.

Do you have pics of this on some other cars (being you haven't done a TSX yet)?

Hello,

That picture is a picture of a Gloss Black headlight. As for price it would be around 150 not includding shipping for both headlights. Users have asked me if i can take out the orange reflector; I am un sure yet, i would have to look at the headlight when it arrives.

As for the person who gets the 50% off i would rather do it for someone who would want them in black, since i would not have to goto my body shop to get paint that matches the car.

Visibility will be the same. I would not be painting the reflector but only the housing. I will have better pictures soon so that you can see what i mean. Thank You for your interest

^bump^

Any new info on this? Have you found out if you can remove the orange pieces yet? New pics? If you don't have a doner set of lights by mid-November, I will offer mine.

Why would you want to cut your lighting ? Impractical.

Actually you would not be cutting your light output, because we would be painting the housing not the reflector. You are absolutely correct if you paint the reflector you lose about 75% of the light output.

As for the Orange Lense. We can take it off but it will be some time before we will be able to Replace it with a clear one. But there might be a way around that so you still have a clear piece going there. As of yet we do not have a doner set so we are still looking

Fusion: what about making something similar to the headlights on the titanium accord. The front has headlights without a yellow reflector and the housing "wraps" around the bulb. Tha would be nice

I was thinking the same thing. JDM this, JDM that. JDM is played out.

Why do y'all have to be so nitpicky about everything? When someone says "JDM" style headlights, you know that they are talking about lights with a black housing. It's just easier to say than "lights with the inside chrome reclector pieces painted in flat black." I'm sure that Fusion Auto knows that painting a set of headlights black does not make them anymore JDM than a set of clear tailights makes a car "Euro."
