I sure as hell wouldn't.

Everytime I turn on that show it grosses me out. I guess if I had a shitty ass car I would be so desperate but even then I wouldnt. First off they go way too far.

Did anyone see where they put an M3 bodykit on a freakin Escort? Thats just wrong!

Or some of the things they put in their, dryers, waterfalls, juice bars, its nuts.

plus those cars are just screaming to get stolen or at least have parts stolen from them! The people who drive those nasty cars probably dont even have a garage to keep them in.

dude, Pimp My Ride does some pretty sick conversions tho. the ones they do for the ppl on the show are definitely made to appeal to the ricer / fast and furious fan, which that i definitely wouldnt have them doing. it's for tv's sake.

but, have u seen the other cars in the background that are for their real, paying customers? they do a pretty nice job tho. im sure they make their cars according to customer orders

I like the paint jobs that they do. I agree with the fact that some stuff is done for the TV show. Who needs TVs on their bumper anyhow?

How about the one where they put a monitor underneath the car, I think it was a 4Runner for some guy that was going to be a mechanic. Kind of foolish IMO.

the only thing I have to say about the show is that I give them props for doing some different cars... I mean they do alot of the same stuff, but at least its to something other then civics.

I mean, they pick some crazy cars to do, VW vans, crown vics, everything and anything.

So yeah, at least that makes it different.

I respect the fact that they do work hard and do some pretty amazing work, but that money could be used elsewhere like on my car

I do appreciate the creativity they use, not to mention the amount of effort and $$ they put into them, but some things are just too non-practical.

I'd let them pimp it then part it out and sell it off and make some $$$

BTW I think "Ish" is the funniest guy on there, if only for his accent.

Not west coast customs, but maybe on of the places on some of the other shows. One of my favorites is Overhaulin'. Obvioulsy you are not going to get a TSX on that show because it is for classic cars, but they do an awesome job and it is never over the top. Great paint jobs, awesome engines and suspensions and kick ass sounds systems. on top of that they do top notch custom interiors. All i know is that I want to pick up some old junker and have my friends set me up on that show.

It might be interesting to see what they could come up with. And regardless of if you approve of thier work you have to give em props for the work and creativity they have.

And like someone said, if you were paying for it, and it wasnt specifically meant to be "over the top" i bet they would do some bad ass work.

Has anyone seen the new chevy HHR they did, that thing looks kick ass, IMO.

Only if I had total control of what goes in and what doesn't.

I seriously respect some of the stuff they do. It's a lot of custom work, and it looks like quality stuff from what I can see on TV.

ROFL, Yes I love his accent as well... From the episode with the 03 corolla (Which I thought they did a nice job except for the choice of rims and monitors on the bumpers) "I'm gonna put in luxury Mercedes seats. When I get done, its gonna be too many FANCY"...

I think they do great work with the cars they get but a lot of the stuff they do is sometimes over the top... I wouldn't mind having that drivesoft in my TSX... seems pretty pimp to me =) Not sure if the Speed Channel still has that show called Tuner Modification? where they took a couple of decent cars (Sentra SE-R, 240SX, STi, etc..) and they did actual performance upgrades... they would test drive it on a course stock and then after with the upgrades and showed times and numbers... cool show

Did someone say DDR? Man I used to play that a lot

I would definitely do it.

I would have them do whatever they wanted and then just pay someone to remove all the equipment that they put in and repaint the car back to the original color. You can sell the parts for alot of money

I remember the episode with the 240sx that was modded to look like the one in NFSU2... A lot of people one forum (A 240SX forum) were saying how ugly it looked and it looked better the way it was before... (It was white stripped interior except for a driver side bucket seat... carbon fiber hood.. and some rims... the outside had some body damage to it...) The actual guy posted on there and said that he had to sign a contract from MTV saying that he could not sell it or do anything to the car for 6 months or a year... I forgot exactly what it said but from what I remembered he wanted to sell the parts off of it but couldn't...

WCC does Lambos and Ferarris, do you think they do the same shit for those car? They dont spend money, most of the stuff is donated by the companys that make those products. MTV pays for all of it.

They do some nice work, better then Unique Auto.
