Wood wheel & trim installed

Not overly pleased with the experience at a "premium" dealer (different story), but the interior pieces have been installed. Here are some shots.

I like the look, and more important...so does the Mrs. I really dig the design of the steering wheel. All in all, I'd definitely repeat the mods, but would purchase and install them myself, saving ~ $200 and a few dealer headaches. Oh well, live and learn...

how much did you pay for the trim? looking for the silver trim and haven't justified paying $200+ for it.

How much just for the wheel, I have some wood currently, but not around the shifter or door arms. It's nice though.

Some good deals can be had on both the wheel and trim (wood and metal) on eBay. I believe Acura of Las Vegas is the main accessories seller on there. Through my dealer I paid $400 for the wheel and $285 for the trim kit. With sales tax and installation I was out just over $1k.

i hope u got the old stuff back.. i made sure i got the steering wheel back because if i hadn't asked for it they would of kept it... and if i ever need to change it back i would have to buy it.

i paid more for my silver wheel, around $500 (when the 06 first came out) i really like it... i get a lot of complements.

Working on getting the stock wheel back (part of the less-than-pleasing experience...another part being that I had to re-install one of the trim pieces that didn't stick...pretty shoddy work on an easy task).

Now buy yourself a set of TSX OEM black mats and you won't have to look at dirty foot marks, etc. Go to the dealer and ask them if you can put them in your car to see how they look. I have'm and I really like the look and how it changes the feel inside the car.

Did you notice the new wheel does not have the flares at the 10 and 2 o'clock position, not as thick and also lacks grooves on the back?

I just got my silver steering wheel installed tonight but now I am not sure what I think about it lol. arghh

Edit: It does have the grooves on the back, and is just as thick, feels thinner because of the missing leather.

Only difference is no bulge at 10 and 2.

Yep - that's the only difference I noticed. I actually prefer the feel of this one, as well as the look.
