I have the black ones and they're great. Very heavy/thick rubber that you can easily trim to fit. (especially around the floor-mountedf accelerator) I've spilled a full cup of coffee on these and all of it stayed within the mat due to the groove system..

I got some black ones from Walmart for like $5. I know...I'm cheap right? Well, I don't see why I have to pay so much for all weather when all I really need it for is when it rains. And it doesn't rain to often here in Cali.

I have the OEM accessory rubber mats. Look good, works well. Recommend them.

I got them from here but I forgot how much.

Unless the your pic distorts the grooves, I doubt they're equivalant of the WT ones. Looks like they fair better than the OEM ones, which didn't look like they could hold any liquid. (no grooves so it just rolls off into your carpet) The WT grooves are substancially deeper than any mats I've seen in walmart/target/etc.. (shopped there first to see if I could avoid spending $90 for mats)

I also got the OEM rubber mats for free from the dealer. I leave them in all the time, and will probably never use the carpet mats. Easy to clean, and no worries about spills or muddy shoes. I highly recommend them.

weathertech, absolutely the best mats ever...they are very thinck...i think each one is like 6lbs or something. they can supposedly hold up to two quarts of liquid, and they are very sturdy, ie they dont feel cheap..
i highly reccomend these, like i said, u cannot go wrong

I want to make the OEM weather mats, clean, & shiny black

Anyone recommend a product ?
If you say tire-cleaner , does it give off bad/harmful odor ?

I did the same thing and am quite pleased with what I got. They are thick and have held up well with all of the rain from the remnants of the hurricanes that we have had. I only have one on the drivers side since I'm the only one in the car 90-95% of the time...

No clue what you're trying to say here. No, I don't get in the car and make sure I knock all the dirt on the mats. (ps, not everyone in FL is on the beach)

If I know I have a huge amount of crap/dirt/sand/etc on my shoe I wipe it on the curb. Otherwise its nice to know I have a good mat to catch the rest. Like someone mentioned it also holds a considerable amount of liquid as well. Very handy for rainy days and spilled drinks.

back to say what: Get the OEM's if you want, but you're going to end up spending more for an inferior mat just because it has "TSX" on it.

update on floor mats

did some shopping at the local canadian tire.. and found the perfect mats that fit my TSX... only for 19.99... hehe... much cheaper then the OEM ones...

they don't have as big as grooves as the ones that you guys posted pics of.. but i guess they will have to do...

wish that pedal wasn't attached to the floor would've made this much easier...

I was just being sarcastic about the beach sand thing.

What I was trying to point out was that "commonly" BIG DEEP grooves on those expensive mats you bought are designed to catch melting snow. I don't know if you ever lived up north. But that's what we up here have to deal with everytime after walking on/thru snow/slush.

To me using them in FL makes as much sense as putting on heavy-duty snow tires in FL.
But maybe the costs are just no biggie for you or maybe you spill drinks in car every now and then.

More Pics

Here are some close-up detail shots. I used a dime to try to give you an idea of depth...and sorry about my previous post, i meant to say they are "like" the weathertechs, not an exact copy. I have only seen the weathertechs in the mags, never in person. I live in Ohio and am a mountain biker, so my cars see their fair share of slush and mud. These have worked great. I went back to Target and they are $24.95 for a set. I too could not stomach the cost of the OEM weather mats for just rain protection.

I have the original mats from Acura. They're great! Sweet fit and high quality. Pricey though.

Sure, I agree that you really need them with melting snow. (probably moreso than other non-snow areas) Although I didn't really care about the cost as long as they had quality grooves.

When we have a hard rain (every afternoon lately ) my parking lot turns into a river so I never know what will be on my shoe when I get to my car. Could just be some water, or muck, tree debris, etc.. A $20 mat from target might have worked just as well, but for whatever reason I didn't like them..

btw, nice closeups osubuckeye98. Those first ones didn't do the mats justice.
