Windshield Wipers

Well, it's about that time.....what brand of windshield wipers do you guys prefer? This problem has plagued me through every car I've owned, just can't seem to find the "end-all be-all" wiper

I highly recommend sticking with the Acura replacement blade. The first pair lasted me nearly a year ... would/could be a year next month, but I thought I MIGHT have seen a skip or two. I made the mistake of buying Bosch after-market for my last car - an Integra - and tossed the original blades ... like you, I never found aftermarket blade nirvana.

The Acura replacements went in easy ... the only odd part was that they didn't come with the two thin metal strips that keep them rigid, however the old ones pop out of the rubber blades easily and appeared to be in new condition. Made me wonder, however, if these strips could be purchased separately.

You probably can purchase them separately. But they don't become "weaker" with use, so it makes sense for me to not have to purchase newer ones every time the rubber components (refills) need to be replaced. I don't know about Acuras, but for my Hondas, both of the refills for the two wipers cost around $18.

yeah, stick with just blade replacement. the wiper is designed for your car, while a replacement wiper isn't.

I've bought Honda OEM blades for 10 years, and sometimes they would come with the metal strips, and sometimes they don't.
