Windshield wiper replacement

My tsx is only 6 months old (~11000km) and I had to change my wipers! Since I don't have a local Acura dealership, I went and got the rubber inserts from a local Honda dealership. The problem is that they had the driver side in right size but for the passenger side I had to trim it to fit. Now I'm worried that the two metal pieces that hold the rubber in the wiper assembly is going to fall out since I cut off the end that hold them in place. Will these metal pieces fall out over time?

I think the I4 Accord's wiper blades will fit...that might be the best idea....or go to walmart and get a set of generic blades.

Do they have a different set of inserts for winter?

I saw them one time on a JDM website, but not here in the states. That does not mean they don't have them.

You could try contacting a canadian dealer.

I have both a Honda and an Acura dealer nearby, and I use the Bosch blades.

The 16" Micro-Edge Excel was $9.95 at Pep Boys, and the 26" ("Oh, for a Maxima?") Micro-Edge $18.95 from the furrin' car parts place. (Note, they are TWO different models of the Bosch blades. Bosch doesn't make the Excel in 26" yet.) Both blades seem marginally longer than the Honda blades. The right (passenger) blade seems to clear the side of the windshield gasket only by about 1-2mm.

It's been about 1/2 year and I like 'em much better than the Honda/Acura blades!
