I'm just wondering if the CL will ever return. I never like the shape of the 01-03 CL's, but liked the 97-00 ones.

Yep, right after the Honda Prelude.

I bought my son a '97 2.2 CL a few years back - been a great car. Only real problems 1) window regulators 2) ABS brain box.

probably not- according to what I have read and heard (from Acura dealer), the mid size two door performance car does not sale very well. The last couple of years, the CL's sat on the dealer lots when compared to the TL's. My father had a 2003 CL Type S and tried to sale it, found out he could have gotten at least 2k more if it had been a TL type S.

im sure acura will have another coupe again at some point, maybe a couple years, but we'll have to wait and see if its the CL or not

They could've easily badged the Accord Coupe as an Acura!

yeah guess u're right, but is it just me, or i don't see as many new 7th gen Accord coupes as I did with the 6th gen Accord coupes on the road?

give it some time and maybe you'll see more, especially since they have the Accord EX V6 coupe 6 speed.

I'd much rather have a CL-S than an Accord, but I didn't like the 01-03 CLs styling. The 97-99 CLs were the best looking ones.

the CL may come back sooner or later...judging by how sales of the Infiniti G35 coupe is doing, Acura may once again try to compete. The CL wasn't very stylish to begin with so if Acura works on a sleeker version, it will sell. Besides these days wen a car company kills a car, it'smore likely to be resurrected a few years later. (eg. Nissan Z, Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-, ....)

What would a new CL be based on? Smaller TSX 4-cylinder or larger TL 6-cylinder?

Well we have an RSX super-4 so the Acura coupe would have to be a 6-cyl and no one wants a FWD power monger coupe.

The CL coupe will return just as soon as Honda gets a new Lude.

Acura can make more money introducing a new SUV instead of bring back a new coupe, its not fair but its true.

I'd be happy if the Type-R returned. :'(
