Just got my TSX, but the deals around NJ is $500 over Invoice..
Are they dumping their inventory prior the new 05 models in March..
Otherwise.. the Dealers will not blink selling at MSRP!!!

 

The Accord and the RSX are going for invoice or below-invoice.

 

Honda Motor's sales overall have declined slightly, whereas Toyota and Nissan both report gains. We're starting to see some of the same kinds of incentives that US domestic makers (GM, Ford, Chryzler) have offered.

Recent reports say that some Honda cars have had particularly strong demand, including the TSX and I think either the MDX or the Pilot.

Incentives can backfire since it makes you wonder why customers need to be bribed to buy a maker's cars.

 

Maybe they will add XM this spring as a 2004.5 update (there is no reason the TSX shouldn't have XM: the sedans above and below it in the Honda lineup both have it). Don't expect anything major for the real 2005 model this winter either; there arent many things they could add that would increase the appeal of the car without adding alot to the cost. Memory driver seat maybe.

I bet the next major upgrade to the TSX will be IMA option in 2006 or 07. Hopefully IMA will bring better brakes too, since there is no way the current brakes would be able to handle the additional weight IMA would add.

 

My guess is that there won't be 05's in March, probably more like October. I don't expect any major changes or upgrades for 05, perhaps a few small tweaks like the XM others have mentioned, memory seats, heated mirrors in US, that kind of thing.

 

And hopefully quality improvements (i.e., fewer rattles)
